Differnt people call me telling me I have Fraud charges against me and they are going to arrest me. I keep asking for information to be sent to my home address which never comes. THey constantly call me at work threatening to make me loose my job and are now calling one of my children harrassing him.

Called today saying that I took out a payday loan and never paid it back and that they are going to file fraud charges against me!  I do not even know who they are!

I received about 7 calls from this person claiming to be a federal law firm saying I took out a payday loan that was never paid back. They claim there's a court case against me and have left me multiple voicemails about this! I know this is bs because I never took out the loan and I've worked for a couple of law firms and know the normal process for lawsuits. Something like this would be taken to small claims court, NOT federal. The court costs and lawyer are more than the loan! This is ridiculous! I hope these people are caught!

Hi some guy with a very strong asian accent called and left a voicemail saying his name is Mike Anderson and that he is looking for Dorothy Lopez with some time sensative information.  And he said to call this 916 number back and when I tried it just went straight to voicemail.  Annoying.

The caller is saying that someone I know have used my information in a financial bank fraud and to call them for cooperation.  The number is unvaialbe, but they leave this 916.458.5665 number.

someone by the name of kevin lee is calling me saying that i have criminal charges filed against me by american law division and that i need to pay 1,042.37 in order for these charges to be dropped and that i also need to send an apology letter to this loan company that i never recieved a loan from. i ask for them to send me paper work and he says that he cant because i agreed to pay he now keeps leaving me voicemail messages this bs is crazy and needs to stop.

I received a voicemail on my cell phone today from someone with a strong accent saying his name was Mike Anderson. It started by saying me or my attorney of record.  This is the fourth time that this particular scam has happened to me.  They try and tell me that I was up for fraud charges for a payday loan and that I had to be in California for court and I live in Iowa. When they called back and I had told them that I had talked to a lawyer friend of mine. (just my sister, no lawyer), he started talking faster and when I asked for the name of the company, he said it really fast and hung up. I reported it to my attorney general and he took care of it. But those were on a land line phone whose number I no longer have. This was on my cell phone. And I think that he called my sister too.

They keep leaving me messages at home and they also call at work.  Now, I'm not allowed to either answer the phone unless it's our interoffice line and I also cannot receive any personal phone calls unless it's my mother or my doctor's office.  If I should happen to leave a message for a customer and they call back, they ask me if I've made a call to this person and am I waiting for a call back.  They cuss out and threaten me at home with calls and my coworkers by using bad language, yelling, and threatening them.  The police in the town this happens in don't think that it's a case for the police.  Any other suggestions, possibly?  Thank you.

By the way, he goes by the name of Chris Matthews ans he has a very heavy Indian accent.

A Gary Jones called me from 916-458-5665 asking about my sister and to have her call them because there are criminal charges against her social security number and it is a time sensitive legal matter.

I just got a call from a Gary Jones for the same number 916-458-5665 saying I owned a loan..and legal charge is file under my social security..I told him send me the information and let me check..they said they could not send the information..The company is the same American Law Division Locate in California.

A guy with a heavy indian accent called me said his name was Mike Anderson and he said he was calling from american law division.  He said the message was intended for a M. Last Name and proceeded to call me Mr. Last Name.  Saying I had had my personal information used by a really good friend and needed to call them back to avoid fraudulent charges on my name.  I thought the whole thing was kinda fishy seeing as A. my friend would never do that to me, and B. they obviously didn't know I was a female so these people apparently got a hold of part of my information but not all and are trying to scam people.  I looked the number up here and saw similar complaints and thought I'd add my own.  Hopefully it will help other people from being scammed.

A guy who says his name is Kevin Lee keeps calling me and telling me I had a payday loan I took out over the internet and that I need to send an apology letter plus money and they will stop charges, I never took out this loan and it didn't go through the bank it has me really scared.

This guy called and identified himself as Mike Anderson; he said my daughter took out a loan under my name and that she committed fraud. He said that she needed to call and make payment arrangements or she would be prosecuted. I told him to contact my attorney but he insisted that he speak to my daughter. I knew right away this was a scam, but people will do anything for a buck!

On 2-11-2010 I got 37 voicemails from a guy with an accent, this time the number he called from unavailable. He now says his name is Mark Brown. Does everyone believe this is a scam? It really has me scared cause he said it will cost me 8,000 in court fees. He said it was an internet loan that was taken out and not paid back. I don't know where he got my number from. A lawyer in California called him and asked him to fax the papers over and he couldn't do that. He said

I am getting the same messages, do you think this is a scam? It really has me scared.

This is the third round of calls from the same person, different numbers from around the country but same scripted message in heavy east Indian accent "if you or your attorney of record does not return this call all I can do is wish you luck as the situation sadly unfolds upon you." What BS - he has claimed to be James somebody (about a year ago), Robert Richards (about six months ago) and now he his Chris Matthews. Number to call back is 916-458-5665. When I asked the guy who answered the phone the name of the company, he said "It's NOT a company, it's a law firm -  American Law Division!" It's sad that so many people must be falling for this scam or these people wouldn't be so persistent. People, remember - you must be served legally - they can't just come pick you up and take you to court as this guy threatens to do. I've called him on his scam three times now, he denies it at first and says it's the first time he's called me but when I tell him all the other names he's used when he calls me, that I've got those messages recorded on my work cell and home phones and that I've reported it to the attorney general's office, the CA Dept. of Consumer Affairs and written multiple postings on web sites like this, he suddenly hangs up and I don't hear from him again. At least not under the most recent name.

Gerry Jones called to tell me that I have legal charges against me. He put me on the phone with a Kevin Lee from the American Law Division. It is for a payday loan. When I finally stopped taking calls from these people they started calling my son.  THis harrassment has to stop. I work for a Dr. and they constantly call the Drs. office for me.

same thing, they are full of it. Tell them you have a lawyer and then they tell you a lawyer wont help cause its too late. Told me there would be a court hearing on Monday. Said the notification was e-mailed to me. You have to be served to come to court!!!!!  What it is, is that they have part of your information and need you to offer up the rest so they can go and dip in your checking or they actually make you think you owe them and you pay. I told Mr Lee I would see him on court on Monday, he got mad and hung up.
