- Cal GirlCaller ID came in as CUSTOMER SERVICE. That's misleading...isn't it? I get robocalls for solar energy every week especially connected with Sacramento. Something makes me think they've got the PG&E database and they are dialing everyone in Northern California with their aggressive sales tactics. Tired of paying $30 for a home line for solar energy calls. Thank you for those who responded already.
- Cal Girl replies to IHROBOs| 9 repliesThey don't care if you are on the Do Not Call list. Get caller ID and a blocking service or get rid of your landline.
- Cal Girl replies to jeanetNever press one. it's a scam to get you to respond to them. These people don't care about your right to privacy. If they did, they would have never called you in the first place.
- Chris1. No identification given by the robocaller. 2. Official (or legit) companies and gov't agencies do not call with automated systems like this. 3. They are asking you to press a number ("press 1") to get more information, which might possibly validate to them, that you are a number that they can Robo spam.
- Caller: ? Electricity/utility costs reduction program
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Been There replies to Cal Girl| 6 repliesInteresting that it would be a CA resident that does not like the laws of this country
- Lady TurnerJust got a robocall about "my electricity bill" and something about something passed by Congress. F***ing spamtastic. Pressed a bunch of numbers (this is my go-to way to deal with robocalls; I have heard it makes them register the line as a fax number and they remove it from their list) and the call ended.
- Caller: who cares
- fed up| 1 replylast time they called from 916-469-0123 this time 916-469-0126 both calls came in on my Verizon cell line and I ignored both plan to try and call back on my land line and if it is a valid number tell them to GFThemselves.
- Caller: unknow
- Tamianth replies to fed upCalling numbers back doesn't help matters, in fact can make them worse. Its bad because the numbers are spoofed as a ROT. You could be calling some innocent persons number or a innocent business that had nothing to do with the calls. While we understand that it is a frustrating thing, its just a bad idea.

Consider buying a call blocking device or phone. Many are around $40.00 and can block up to 1500 numbers. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
