Caller ID came in as CUSTOMER SERVICE.  That's misleading...isn't it?  I get robocalls for solar energy every week especially connected with Sacramento.  Something makes me think they've got the PG&E database and they are dialing everyone in Northern California with their aggressive sales tactics.  Tired of paying $30 for a home line for solar energy calls.  Thank you for those who responded already.

They don't care if you are on the Do Not Call list.  Get caller ID and a blocking service or get rid of your landline.

Never press one.  it's a scam to get you to respond to them.  These people don't care about your right to privacy.  If they did, they would have never called you in the first place.

    1. No identification given by the robocaller.  2. Official (or legit) companies and gov't agencies do not call with automated systems like this. 3. They are asking you to press a number ("press 1") to get more information, which might possibly validate to them, that you are a number that they can Robo spam.

Just got a robocall about "my electricity bill" and something about something passed by Congress. F***ing spamtastic. Pressed a bunch of numbers (this is my go-to way to deal with robocalls; I have heard it makes them register the line as a fax number and they remove it from their list) and the call ended.

Calling numbers back doesn't help matters, in fact can make them worse. Its bad because the numbers are spoofed as a ROT. You could be calling some innocent persons number or a innocent business that had nothing to do with the calls. While we understand that it is a frustrating thing, its just a bad idea.

Consider buying a call blocking device or phone. Many are around $40.00 and can block up to 1500 numbers. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
