I received a call from Brandon Gabriel at 916-259-3085 and 916-469-1761. He said he was with the District Attorney's office, working for George Belosky. I verified this with him 3 times on the call. He even gave me his address which I googled and it is the address of the DA's office. He wanted me to "pay restitution" today or he was sending the cops to my office and arresting me via a warrant. When I asked several times what it was regarding he said that I knew what it was about. When I told him I wanted something in writing he said the only thing he could send was the warrant. Then he told me I would be in jail for a minimum of 9 months without release and he hung up on me. I called the actual DA's office and was told that they would not deal with anything in this manner. She said it's a scam and that they have no one on their personnel list with that name. FYI - he did tell me my SSN and bank information. I'm issuing a possible fraud alert on my credit w/ all 3 bureaus and changing my bank account.

It's all too easy these days for scammers to look up legitimate information online, like the address of a DA's office and even the names of people who work there. They figure you'll never bother to check beyond an initial web search. They can also easily spoof legitimate phone numbers so never, ever, ever trust anything nor what you see on your caller ID.

This person is calling me at work!

This number keeps calling my grandmother's cell phone number. The same man calls from two other numbers as well. He tells her that she is under investigation for fraud and that she is going to jail (she definitely hasn't done anything to deserve any sort of investigation). He calls her over and over again several times in a row and has been doing so for days now. When she finally told him to leave her alone because she doesn't believe he is a legitimate representative for the DA, he told her that she was crazy and hung up on her! I can't believe some people.... I am having my grandma contact her bank just in case and also having her report this to the police.

I just call them back and I prank on them and he told to take care of my momma and he will call me back :-)

This Arab guy Is truly a dummie just have fun and prank call them they will hang up.

Got a call at work today from a man with a foreign accent asking for me and saying he was with the attorney generals office or something like that. told the man I would try to find "ME" and then hung up. Im assuming by the other posts here that its a scam.

I got a  multitude of calls from this number today and they even called my work trying to reach me.  I told them that I  was on lunch,  pretending to be someone else.  he left a message with me that said it was about a law suit having to do with my social security number and that I needed to have her call him back as soon as possible.  then he left 6  messages on my  cell phone.

This number is a total scam. We have reported to the local authorities and are meeting with the Federal authorities tomorrow.

A friend Got a call from these numbers today and asked her to pay $1200 or else they will send the cops to pick her up. Called them back and the background sounded like they were a call center, and they were using magic jack numbers.

l applied for a loan online Iast weekend, Monday l started gettIng calls from this number, a [***] pretending to be a US attorney tells me that there is a criminal lawsuit against me for Social Security fraud, and that the cops are on their way to my job to arrest me. Once I was arrested I was gonna be in jail for nine months mandatory. I proceeded to tell him that I had and attorney and I was going to call him asap, he said that there was no time for that, because I was gonna get arrested within 30 minutes unless I wanted to resolve this issue by paying a $1500 restitution fine and making a promisory contract he'd be able to talk to the judge, but I'd to pay that money within 20 min via bank transfer and of course no third parties involved. I Just let this stupid [***] camel jocket talk, once he finished I handed my cell over to my sister in law who happens to be an FBI's special agent, She starts questioning this idiot and he immediately says that the case has already been close. My sister in law tries to call the number back and it turned out to be a magic jack number

these guys are blood sucking scum....................I was scared all day till I collected myself and did a little research. I reported this number to the FBI IC3 devision

as soon as you call them out as being a scam, they hang up!!!

I just got a call from them as soon as I told them I had an attorney and I was going to call the police he hung up on me. JERKS!

Richard Smith w/ his thick accent keeps calling, from this # left messages saying it's very important that I contact him to clean up this legal matter & gave the wrong last 4 of a ssn# he says is mine!!!!! I also applied for a credit card on line last week on line!!!!! Never again!!!!

This guy keeps calling me.  he left a message on my work voicemail saying I or my lawyer needed to call immediately regarding a legal matter.  I called and he told me I was being charged with fraud and the only way I was not going to jail was to pay him an absurd amount of $3600.00.  He continued to call and harrass me the entire day.  It was very upsetting and most of my co-workers got involved.  I feel like a fool.  This guy goes by Richard Smith, George Woloski and he has some girl named Doris working with him in his scam.  Other phone numbers from which he calls are 916-426-6621, 916-322-3360 and 916-244-1381  DO NOT GIVE THIS CLOWN ANY MONEY.  He is the one that needs to go to jail and I have reported him to the police.

These people are ruthless called me 3 times at work....very embarrassing!! Tried calling them back on my lunch but only heard a beep on phone which probably means its being transferred to a number outside the area .  Got a call later on cell and picked it up, said I was gonna be arrested and when I told them they were a scam the guy got really nasty and told me I was an awful person and I should shut up.  He also told me if he was standing in front of me he would slap my face, nice huh.  I told him it was illegal for him to call me at work and that he is the one that should be arrested, then I hung up on him. There's also another number they gave me 916-426-6621.
