This number has called me at least 10 times today by mid-afternoon. They do not leave a message. At first I ignored it and did not pick up.  I finally picked up to hear a recording so I hung up.  they called back AGAIN, then I had to listen to their sales pitch - something about energy efficiency and that I may qualify for their program (that SMUD recommends, or some such BS).  At the end they said press 1 to be connected to a representative to see if you qualify, or press "0" to be removed from the call list.  I pressed "0"

I also pressed the "0" long ago.
Today this caller has initiated a series of calls -- about every 8 minutes.  I answered and hung up at 11:40 and have received a total of 8 more calls since that time.  I recently had surgery and can't take the phone off the hook.  Medical professionals and family need to reach me.

Have had 7-8 call from this number in the last 2 days.  Extremely annoying.  Hung up and then called back, got a phone recording telling me to leave a message.  Left a message advising them not to call my number and not 30 minutes later they called again.  Aren't they required to remove me from their system when asked by me to do so?  Who do I report them to beside posting here?

I keep getting calls from 916 469 5083 - about 10 calls per day - and it's annoying and i would like it to stop!

Two annoying calls already today. Several every week. Any ideas on how to make them stop.

use 'call screening' feature on your phone or with your carrier to block the number from getting through

I get numerous calls from this number on a daily basis.  This has been going on for several weeks now.  I never answer the calls hoping they'll be discouraged but it doesn't help.  Whoever this is isn't leaving any messages.  VERY ANNOYING!!

Same as above. The message says they are some kind of utility. This number calls every half hour. We've had several calls every day in the past couple of weeks and today they've called at least 8 times and it's only 2pm. How do we stop this?!!

I finally got the calls to stop!  We made an apointment and we gave them the address to our local police department for the meeting.  They have never called us back!  I gave this info to a friend.  She gave the address to the local cemetary.  They called her back and said they were going to file a police report for her giving them a false address.  NOT.  I have been a prosecutor for 20 years in California.  There is no law against giving a telemarketer a wrong address!  Let them file a police report.  You will then have someone claiming to be a "responsible party" in which to file your own repetitive "annoying phone calls" report against THEM.  Don't be intimidated by this one.  Give them whatever address happens to suit your fancy at the time!  Lead them on a wild goose chase.  After all, they have wasted a lot of YOUR valuable time.

Received a call from this number but did not answer and no message left.

HA!!!  That's good!  Now here's what I did.  Go to youtube and look up "disconnected telephone number"  wait for the recording to come on and let your answering machine/voicemail record it as your outgoing message.  Works like a CHARM!  As soon as they hear the message, they think your phone has been disconnected and they take you off their call lists.  Apparently word gets around pretty fast.  I used to get a gazillon calls a day.  Now I might get one, maybe two.  Good luck with it, but make sure friends & family all know, otherwise they may thing something is wrong with you.  :~)

some guy has called me 3-4 times wed. and at least twice today. this last time said this would be their last attempt to get a hold of me. speaks with a heavy middle eastern accent. Saying someone has legal issues against me. and if i don't call then back i would be put behind the bars. you can tell the guy is reading a script. and last time i was behind a bar the bartender needed help lifting up the keg. he gave me some name but when i looked it up it said it was all a scam. so i don't know where these places get our personal info or even home address. but i really wish the government would do something about it.

I got a call from a different number:916-469-6343 but he left me a message and I could barely understand him but he said that he was calling from the attorney generals office and that he had charges against me. If I didn't call him back then good luck to me.  I called the attorney general and they said it was a scam and I asked if they wanted the number, they said that they are really calling from outside the US so they can't find them.  They also stated that if they had issues with me they would not call me, I would get a letter. This is the second time I have gotten a call like this.  The first time it scared me so bad that I almost paid them until my sister told me it was a scam.

Received call several times today. Trying to scam me into a loan. Won't accept do not call again. Persistent. Finally had to use abusive language to stop the calls. Obvious Indian dialect scammer.

I got the same call a few days ago, he said the same thing and that I couldn't pay him through my bank account because it was frozen, I got scared and went to my local police department and they told me that it was a scam

Unable to really determine what he was saying as his accent was so thick. Told to call the attorney Edward Marsahall right away because someone was making charges against my social security number. I asked for  a case number or a call back number, he said that he can provide neither. I asked if he could send correspondance via USPS, in order for me to deterrmine if the case was legitimate and he declined again. He has called at least a dozen times within the last ten minutes. How do I get them to stop calling my work number?
