They called several times so I finally answered. It was a lady from the American Lung Assoc. asking me to do a mailing to the people in my neighborhood asking for donations.  I told her I do this for the March of Dimes and don't have time to do it for them as well. She tried to get pushy with me about donating my time but finally she backed down and thanked me for my time.  She wasn't rude, just really trying to convince me.  I refused and that was it.  It has been several days and no more calls so I hope they crossed me off their list.  They were calling me a lot until I finally answered and told them NO!  Good luck!

Received calls every day for eight days, with no message left. I would like them never call again.

Have received calls from "American Lung" 1-917-210-4610 several times a day. Calls start at 8am till 9pm. Accidentally answered one of them and a defining voice screamed "Well Hello". Then silence. Someone needs to investigate. I'm sure this isn't the American Lung Association. I have worked with them in the past and this isn't the way they do business. When I call the number back it states it is the American Lung Association.

Call came from New York to Kansas at 13:59 hours on 11-22-09. Call not answered, and no message left. Call tracked to Global Crossing, the big advertising firm, and from there to American Lung Association.

This number is just one in a string of numbers for American Lung.

They have now called me over 20 times. They are telemarketers for the
New York branch of the American Lung Association. They won't stop calling as it is highly profitable for them. They rake off about 24.6% of your donation. They have the lowest rating of the American Lung Assoc. branches.
Their rating is 29%, while the Washington, D.C. branch has a rating of 68%.
Harassing calls are permitted by law from political groups, charities and groups taking surveys. Even heating and cooling companies call taking a survey as to whether you have a furnace. Blame Congress for all this harassment. The reason they often don't answer when you say, Hello is they are using an auto-dialer and they only respond to the first person to answer.
