I got a phone call that left this number for me to call back.  The message said that we were being sued by the IRS and to call the number back right away.  I knew right then it was a scam, but I called the number just to see what they would say.  I got a busy signal.  Did not try again.  This caller was about a week ago.

I also got a phone call on my answering machine stated that this is the IRS and this is the final notice and they're trying to get hold of me

I rec'd same call just now. "from IRS"  Different number showed up, but was told to call this number to avoid "a lawsuit."

Two messages left on my phone that IRS was building a law suit staging me and to call immediate to 917 477-3867.the call came from Ontario Canada 289 -679-0000 ,needless to say I did not call either ,but they should definitely be shut down and put in jail because they will cause a great deal of harm to innocent individual especially the elderly who has no one to look out for them

they said they from IRS and i was being audited or sued for a penalty i violated sounded like a SCAM to me   IRS will sent you a letter to inform you of an audit

Got a message that the IT'S was filing suit against us and this was our last notice to call 917-477-3868. Someone should stop this disgusting scam.

We just received a edsage stating the exact same thing. The number to call was 9174773868. The number on the caller I'd was 2853040000. The number when dialed states that it is incorrect. Probably a Google number.

I am so grateful for pages like this and to all of you for reporting problems:
To that end I got:
The first call I got from this number, saying they, the IRS, will sue me. Female voice with accent (robo call).
Then, I got 4 telling me to call the number 914-775-5626. (Was out of town when this all went down). A live male voice in Indian or Arabic. He messed up his lines a few times and you could tell it was foreign in his script saying things like: "don't make matters worse for you as it will be a problem for you". Not exactly IRS language, for sure.
None of the calls mentioned my name - unlike what other big companies will do with the robo calls. Nor gave me any reference number, or agent to contact. Lastly, never mentioned the last 4 numbers of my social nor said if I was being audited. The IRS would never just call asking for cash or CC#!!!!!
Until I see a letter. I am not doing anything. Besides, I think the IRS and I are good. Just paid them, on time, and they owe me. LOL.
