there is really no such thing as a "do not call list"

your [***]...  no call list can stop people from skip tracing u!!! its not against the law-- try lookin up the laws!!!!

Been getting calls from this # daily, around lunch time (Pacific),  it sounds like a telemarketer on the other end but is actually an IVRS, very annoying as I'm not patient enough to stay on long enough to tell the stupid system not to call again

I am also in SoCal on the DO NOT CALL list... why are these calls getting through??? I never answer unidentified calls but it is a nuisance to receive them... Is the DNC list a joke???

I received a call from this company. I am not sure how they got the number as this is a private number that companies do not have, so I do not believe that it is from another company.

I just got a call from this number. They call me ALL THE TIME....so finally I called the number back and there was a automation telling me if I hit #1 they will stop calling! YEAH RIGHT....I'll see if hitting  "1" is the solution to annoying calls! I live in NYC.

This number called twice in the last week. I did not answer. No message left. Says Tulsa Oklahoma

Called my cell (Verizon).  No CID info other than the #.  I didn't answer, they hung up leaving no msg after 4 rings

I work in IT, but not telemarketing. When you answer and get that long silence, it is because of an auto dialing system that notifies the telemarketer he/she has a live one on the line. It takes them a few seconds to put on their headset and respond. If you don't recognize the number, the best strategy is to not answer, as many of you are doing.

I didn't follow my own advice today. I was working at my desk and surprised that my cell rang. I answered because I am expecting possible calls for personal business transactions. The silence was followed by the intro regarding home security. I replied, "I'm at work and you are calling my cell phone." He said, "Have a nice day," and hung up.

If you go to this link and read the comments at the bottom, there is some indication that it is illegal for telemarketers to call cell numbers. The article itself is regarding a mythical deadline to register cells on a DNC list or to avoid your number being published in a cell phone directory. There apparently is a directory, but it is designated as "opt in", not opt out. There is no deadline, but the rest of the information might be informative.

The call was for a home security system and was a robot call using a voice recognition system.

Caller ID said Oklahoma City OK

Robo azsked me for my name and to spell my name.

Said my name was Jack Sh*t and spelled the names for robo. Never heard back ;)

My conversation with the caller was, basically, the same.  I grilled the caller who identified himself as "Ben Johnson".  Probably a fake name as he sounded like he just made it up.
