I got a call from this number a few minutes ago. The Caller ID said this number and it said "SERVICE MESSAGE." I picked up, but noone said a word.

Number just called... total automation...
Answered and first voice of woman bluttered her way through some words, couldn't understand her stupidity, then transitioned over to more automation.. of a guy letting me know to press 1 to take part in an 8 question survey that will "help improve the country" or something. Riiiight.

I know my opinion doesn't matter, so I opted out, and hung the F**K up.

Called back, to get the name of the company...
All I got was an instant automation of a woman saying that if I press "1" I would not be called anymore, and put on their don't-call-"marketing" list.

They gave no information afterward, and the sequence of that automation (upon calling back) just kept looping.

Was anyone else watching or listening to Alex Jones while receiving a call from this number? :-)

This call came to my cell phone. I have no idea why/how they got my number but I don't believe it is related to watching anything on TV. I wonder if it came from ordering gifts online, etc. At any rate, I didn't take the call & hopefully they don't try to call again!

I got a call at working this morning.  I immediately put it on speaker and a voice came on to tell me to wait while they transferred by call.  I hung up!

just got a call from these low lifes. waited for a answer from them so i gave them the police whistle answer.

My telephone rang at 12:42pm without leaving a message.  I never bothered to pick up my telephone, whenever I received telephone rings out of state.

Total automation and downright illegal! Is VERIZON giving out numbers? And if not, who?

It's not Verizon, I have T-Mobile and got the same call a second ago. Didn't answer it, didn't leave a voicemail.

I got the call on my Google Voice # which I rarely give out. I couldn't understand most of the automated message before I hung up.

This has to be a bot-dialer because it rang my work #, which is an extension of a central phone web and nonpublished.  "Wait" for their computer to put their hoomin on the line?  I don't think so.

I listened to two different pre-recorded messages to stay on the line, and how important MY time is, but please take the survey and I would be given a $100 gift certificate.  Didn't say what type of gift certificate, but I didn't stay on the line to take the survey.....What a PAIN these calls are!!!

Received a call from this number on my Boost mobile cell number [which v few people have; used rarely].
Didn't pick up since I didn't recognize the number. No message left.
HATE robocalls. Don't want to pay for minutes for unwanted callers like this!

Called by this number at 1:26 P.M. EST and did not answer since it was an unknown number to me - caller ID said Service Message.  I called back and pressed '1' to get this nonsense stopped (the recorded voice I got claiming it will take 72 hours).  One problem with opting out of this crap is that once I deal with a bothersome telemarketer or survey call, another soon rears its ugly head.  For example yesterday I got a life insurance robocall stopped after being periodically called for days and hanging up without listening to the complete recording to learn what button to press for stopping further calls.

Got a call from these idiots at 6 AM, they didn't leave a voice mail so I added it to my blocked caller list.

Just called. No voicemail. Tulsa, OK area code. 5:15 CST

Calls and screen says "Service Message."  Does not leave message.  I visualize someone in charge like the foreign guy who calls himself Peggy on the TV commercials.  If someone has useful adviceon how to deal with these scoundrelly calls, please post it here.

I got a call from this # and they asked me a bunch of stupid questions like what is the most common thing on the dinner table?  I said, salt & pepper and the woman would say, That's right, you're doing terrific (ha), follwed with 3 or 4 more questions and then she told me I won a 250.00 gift certificate but I'd need to pay them 69.95 before she could send it.  Ridiculous....and we're supposed to be on a don't call list.
