Same here. Repeat calls all day. Caller unknown and will not leave a message on answer machine. When answered, no one at the other end which implies automatic dialing.

wife answered, they asked for Mr. White, she said not in, could she take a message, they hung up.

Received two calls from this number. Used to live in 919 area code so I almost answered. Doesn't leave message. Thanks for having this site. It put me at ease.

The John Edwards for President Campaign is using this number to fundraise.  If you pick up and talk with them, they are polite and will not call you again if you request it.

I finally answered because they were calling my business everyday very annoying.. seems they were selling Sweets Catalog .....

Before I blocked this number, calls from it that I answered and waited up to 30 seconds from someone on the other end to say something were from: University of NC public TV & NC Democrats wanting MONEY, and miscellaneous outbound messages about Democrat candidate.  I had blocked 919-439-4534 and they have gotten around that by transmitting the number 1-919-439-4534.  I have blocked that one now.

I too have been receiving these annoying calls daily for a weeks now but never answer.  One would think after x amount of attempts with no answer, that they need to quit!!!!  I'd forgotten about the option to block the number, that'll be next, especially if it's anyone having to do with John Edwards and/or his campaign.

Got call from this number March 25, 2008.  Caller ID lists origin as "Myers Associate" (could have s at end, cut off by character limit on phone).  Asked a simple two-question poll: "Who do you plan to vote for in the Presidential Primary May 6?" and "How likely are you to vote?"  Since my wife and I are registered voters, it may be a legit poll (with a competitive primary coming up here in NC, it's a real possibility.)  "Myers and Associates" could be the Washington, DC lobbying firm, myersandassociates.com.  They appear to be bipartisan, and the phone call gave no hint of a partisan source, but of course, they could be calling for a newspaper, or a campaign.

It's common practice for telemarketers and polling organizations to use auto-dialers that only connect a live worker when a live person has picked up the phone; that may explain repeated calls when not answered.  From a polling perspective, that's good: they have a defined set of people they're polling, and don't just call other folks if someone on the list doesn't answer - statistically, this is good practice, b/c otherwise you run the risk of bias in a legitimate survey.  So yes, repeated calls are annoying, but if you answer once, a legit organization should stop calling.  If not, then insist you be put on their do-not-call list.

Husband answered, they asked for me. He told them I was not in and asked to take a message. Young lady said no message, that she would call back later.

We get this same number at my work too!! It drives me insane! I was really surprised when I saw these postings on here. I was just trying to do a reverse phone number look up and found this site. I got a call from this number yesterday -- it was a solicitation for donations to the Obama campaign. My guess is the number is being used by a firm that does both polls and fundraising for Democratic candidates -- I got calls from the same number for Edwards when he was still in the race. They really are rude, hanging up after two rings, not leaving messages, etc.

Get calls at least once a day from this number.  Will not leave a message on answering machine and when the call is answered, no one says anything.

They just called our house.  It is a Democrat fundraising group.  It took about 10 seconds for them to reply after I answered and they had no idea who they were calling.  I asked where they got my number and they didn't know.  As I am a REPUBLICAN, I gave them no info or $$$.  I wonder if they are legit or just scamming folks who think they are giving to the Dem Party.

I answered and the guy was a complete [***].  Started asking me for money.   if you call number back you get recording say Myer Telephone service and they give you option to be removed.

This number has called my work phone two days in a row. First day, they hung up, today I didn't answer, and no message was left.
