- nineyreeeverytime i get a call from this number i ignore it. almost always i end up with message about what to do if i owe money especially to irs. occasionaly i get dead air. if i don't recognize a number i send it to voice mail and they can leave a message. this has worked really well for me as i can just delete voice mails if they are unimportant.

- StevenI got a call from this number, I didn't answer it. They didn't leave a voice message. From what I have read on this forum so far, I'm thinking this is some kind of automated teller trying to sell debt consolidation or get me to take a survey.

- Tele No more replies to jsalz21| 5 repliesYou can't say remove me from your list. Telemarketers use leased lists and can not remove numbers from them. You MUST phrase it this way: "Please put me ON your DO NOT CALL LIST" This is the only phrase that will succeed
- pests-b-gone replies to Tele No more| 2 repliesOh I see, so you're talking to robots who can't figure out that you want NO MORE CALLS unless you say the magic words, huh? Screw that.
I have a whistle handy and when I get one of the subhumans on the line, they get a good blasting, because nothing says STOP CALLING FOREVER like the whistle. Airhorns work too.
Since most of the clowns working telescamming boiler rooms (oooh I mean "call centers" sorry LOL) are mentally challenged, repeat the process as necessary. - Resident47 replies to pests-b-gone"Tele No more" was correct. The Telemarketing Sales Rule mandates that telemarketing firms maintain an internal no-call list. Requesting that a phone number be *added* to that list follows the statutory language, which is the surest way to preserve your rights when you're dealing with high school dropouts working in cubicle farms. In some call centers the employees are actually prohibited from accepting any variant of "take me off" to mean "place my number on".
Better still, rather than rely on juvenile pranks, make your demands on paper and send them via USPS Certified with return card. That's a response you will not need to "repeat as necessary" unless the offending caller is stupid enough to risk a lawsuit. - jojust saw this number calling in. a long ring! hopefully it doesn't waste my time as well as theirs. I am sure that it doesn't to me b/c I ignore it!!!

- jixs| 1 replyHere's the answer to all your prayers. Telemarketers almost exclusively use "autodialers" to make their calls. One out of a thousand will have the reps doing the dialing. When these dialers connect (you answer the phone) they listen for any tones generated. They then transfer the call to one of the reps in a call center. "IF" the autodialer hears the 3 beeps from dialing a "DISCONNECTED" number, the number just dialed is automatically "REMOVED" from their list. Below is a link that has this tone PLUS the verbal message. You DO NOT need the verbal message. Download or copy the "DISCONNECTED" MP3 or WAV file to your desktop. Create or change the greeting you have when someone calls you and you're not available. At the VERY BEGINNING of the message place the 3 tones only (NOT THE VOICE MESSAGE). The autodialer will hear the tones and BINGO, your number will be removed since they think it's a disconnected number. After you insert the 3 tones play your regular greeting to callers. DONE. In a few weeks you will be off of all the lists. Of course you may have to explain the tones to the callers you DO want to speak to but that's a small tradeoff. Pass this info on to people you know that get junk calls or even help post this on these websites. GET RID OF JUNK CALLS.
