Interesting. I just started the refinance process today, and today I've rec'd 2 calls from this number already. (I didn't pick up.)

Its Greenlight Loans aka Nationstar mortgage. Been calling ma crazy since another mortgage asked for payoff. I tried them first but loan officer does not listen. Hate his scare tactic too like rate will soon go up, fee is now $200 higher. I then shopped and got much greater deal.

Caller Keeps calling even after asking not to call.

Glad I looked on here before answering my phone.  Our loan was sold to Nationstar, and we are refinancing with someone else now.  I think the new company just asked for payoff.

Glad I found this!  B of A sold our loan to Nationstar, and we are now refinancing with someone else.  They just requested the payoff and now Nationstar is calling all day.  I haven't answered and don't plan to.

myself and my neighbor did the same. Installment + additional $ and they apply to interest....EVERY TIME even tho check says PRINCIPAL on it.

I've received several calls from said number above without answering.  Today I answered and heard a young mans laugh briefly then he hung up.  Prank calling.  What kind of people does Nation Star/Green Point hire?  Is there a direct line connected to a junior high school where people can make prank calls?
This company is based on cowardliness and immaturity.  I'm in the process of refinancing, I'm going to Quicken Loans -- great business, good customer service!

Do yourself and avoid Quicken loans.  They will sell you a sweet deal and it sounds good but as soon as they get your 500 dollars the customer service will drop off dramatically.  They will over apraise the value of your house, seriously screw your loan up to the point of being radioactive.  They did it to me. They said they could do it no problem and then sorry we can't.  Well can I have my 500 dollars back please.  No that was for the apprasial.  Ouch.  It's a popular legit scam as far as I am concerned.  Beware of David Friss from Quicken Loans.  Smooth and charismatic, but totally a liar.  He just wants your money.   Nonetheless after it was all said and done 500 was money well spent not to get all the way into bed with these crooks.

we have had problems with nationstar from the get go. when we attempted to refinance through our bank we received a phone call stating they could match the deal with reduced closing costs with a warranty package making our current mortgage $80 less.  we asked for the truth and lending statement to review and lo and behold nothing was ever given to us. when we tried calling back we would got the runaround and supposedly nobody has any information on who called us! the representative was extremely rude and very nasty when we questioned why no information was available.

   On February 20, 2013, Nationstar Mortgage entered into a Conciliation Agreement with the New Jersey Office of Civil Rights. The Conciliation settles allegations that the business unlawfully discriminated against a customer by rejecting an application to refinance due the customer being on maternity leave from work.

   Under the terms, Nationstar Mortgage has agreed to pay the customer a $30,000 settlement as well as pay the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights $6,000. The company has also agreed to have its loan officers and processors undergo training in the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, in addition to other fair housing and credit law training.

   The Conciliation Agreement was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law.

I feel the same way, I am buying a new place and I hope I don't end up with NorthStar again.  They are awful.  Even though you are in your grace period, they are calling you all the time, like you are a dead beat.  It would drive me crazy.  Their business practices are awful.  I finally told them, contact me only by mail.  I told them, it is harassment, when you keep calling me and I am still in my grace period.

Yesterday the refinancing company im moving to placed a conference call with Nationstar Mortgage (my current servicer) to confirm things about my loan. My Loan was approved and are now closing. Today i received a call from Nationstar Mortgage. What everyone is saying here is true. Soon as you refinance and get a buy out or confirm information they start calling!

I am with them and they asked me to refinance I paid a lot if money for an appraisal they chose the appraiser then denied me and I was out $$$ then I was late and they charged late fees on my late fee and refused to dismiss it and the reason I got behind is because of the appraisal fee then send me we are here to help you letters and once again deny me the late charge dismissal and the calls over and over now they are calling again to refinance they are a bunch if crooks

Yup... Dealing with these clowns today actually! I get at least one call a day but they just hang up on me.

Worst company ever! Nationstar is by far the worst mortgage company. They sent my a pre-approval letter for a interest rate reduction for my current loan with them (had the loan for over 10 years- never been late or missed a payment, plus I have great credit)- I called and of course it was a total scam, said I was not approved because I make less then they needed me to make. Sadly, I make much less then I did years ago. Everyday I get hounded by countless of calls, and mailers saying with my excellent history with them and great credit- I am pre-approved, to only again be denied. I still everyday get calls- several times a day. I asked them to please stop calling and send mailers out- but was told there is nothing they can do because of their computer system- so pretty much 4 to 5 days a week- several times a day I receive countless calls from them.

I hate nationstar! They call all they time. I am not late- nor ever been. My mortgage was sold to them and they are awful. I never experienced this before with the countless of calls. I make overpayments- which never gets applied to the principal. This company needs to be investigated.I am in the process of getting a new loan elsewhere. I have never received so many harassing phone calls for never being late and making overpayments in my life.

I can't stand Nationstar. They are nothing but cheats. I use to get rebate checks every year for overpaying on my taxes part (my loan was with another company and was sold to them- I had no say in this transaction). My loan also it's out taxes and insurance each month. Rather now then getting the rebate check- the money is applied to my loan- ok fine- but they never applied it to the  principal. Even since I got this loan- my principal never goes down- even when I pay extra- I called and they said they apply it to the interest- even though I make it more then clear that I want the extra to go to the principle. I get calls from them now daily to refinance - I already "had" a decent loan before- I never changed anything. This is a terrible company!!! Keep in mind, I am not a deadbeat- my loan always gets paid on time- yet I get harassing calls, and my principal never gets reduced no matter how much more I pay.
