The number said my chase bank account was suspended

I received a text stating they are with EDD Bank of America. I am not even on EDD

Text sent to me on 4/27/21
“EDD: Attention needed for your Bank of America EDD Debit Card Tap here https://bit.ly/3xpPEhQ to verify. Questions: 866-692-9374. Std. rates may apply.” I don’t even have a Bank of America EDD debit card or bank accounts!

I received a text from this number saying EDD:  Attention needed for your Bank of America EDD Debit Card.

Yes, I received the same message but stating they were from Chase Bank

in my case, it came as Chase Bank. I have no account with Chase.

They claimed to be from the State Of Indiana requesting information about unemployment.  That does not apply to me.

wanted me to verify my unemployment profile,no doubt a scam/phishing dirtbag trying to collect info.

I also did

Texted me about logging into my states unemployment website to update information. Clearly a scam!

I received a text message from this number asking me to log into my Chase Bank account as there has been suspicious login attempts made and my account has been limited.  There's an e-mail link of https:///cutt.ly/mbYwkHT which I didn't click on.. Funny thing is I've never banked with Chase..

Message reads:  Chase Bank: Your account has been limited due to suspicious login attaemps  you need to confirm your information in order to restore your online access: follow the link below to restore your online access now: this will only be available for 24 hours.  NOTE!  I DO NOT HAVE A CHASE ACCOUNT HATSOEVER!! ATTEMPTING HACKERS SCAMMERS

I received the same text, from the same exact number

Text saying my profile verification needed with website address asking to verify an uplink to an unemployment file?!  Methinks it’s scammer. Says Indiana State needs verification. Area code is NY with unknown verification.

Sending links asking for state of Indiana unemployment info.

Text telling me I needed to log in to verify my unemployment (I've never had it) and provided a hyperlink. I did not click, deleted the text.

I received a text that that said Profile Verification Needed. Tap to verify your uplink Unemployment profile now! When I tapped on it the message said here was a hold on my unemployment account!  Im retired!!!!

But at least the scammers got to install malware on your phone!
