I never bought clams from these guy

What a coincidence!  I never bought clams from this guy,  or any other guy either!  I'm allergic to clams and other seafood.  You too?

"Market Place", as it displays on Caller ID, has also used (678) 203-2865. Spammers "move" around - when one # fails, they try another. They don't give up easily.

CID = MARKET PLACE. Called 7/14/16 at 10:57 AM. No message was left. Will block.

No, James, never do that !!  That tells them that they have "robo-dialed" a working number.  Now, they will "sell" your number to every yutz with ears.  If you see a number on caller I.D. that you do not recognize, let it pass, i.e. do NOT answer it.  Hope you find this helpful.  See ya around the campfire !

Looks like lawyers paying referral fees to callers for anyone they hook/refer ... that way the lawyer's hands stay clean ... they har only abetting the sleeze not doing it themselves

Caller ID came up as MARKET PLACE. No msg. left. We will block.

They have been calling my cell. I don't answer. I am not sure how they got my cell.

Got call from this number.  Rang twice then POOF gone.  Didn't leave voice mail.  I did't call back but checked here and based on input about this number it is now blocked to my phone.

Same as the rest. CID says Market Place. I answered by accident and hung up on the phony Xarelto robo call. Then blocked them! Thanks for the info., guys.

Third party blocking service seems to intercept repeated calls from this number on July 14 and 21, 2016.

To date we've had two calls from this number, starting on July 14, 2016 and most recently today, July 21, 2016.  The caller ID name info has always been set to "MARKET PLACE," and each time it rang only once, not calling back right away or going through the service's passthrough. Our third party blocking service (rhymes with SlowNoHobo) intercepts our incoming calls after the first ring if the caller ID number is on their blacklist or triggers their "Advanced Robocall Detection" algorithm(s,) so it's likely they were already clamping down on calls from this number before we got our first call.

I check 800notes when the blocking service nixes a call in case there's a mistake.  My thanks to all the folks for their posts above; I'm confident the service is doing a good job by intercepting these calls for us.  I'm posting about our recent calls in case knowing this CID number is already on the service's radar helps anyone else.

These bottom-feeding a'holes called my DNC-listed landline today at 1535 with an illegal idiot-message about a drug side-effects and how I may be entitled to significant compensation.  For the heck of it, I pressed 5 to "talk" with someone.  A woman with a thick accent answered, nattering something that seemed to indicate that it was some ambulance-chasing lawyer collective.  I asked why she was illegally calling DNC listed phone numbers but didn't wait for her to answer before blasting her eardrum with my emergency whistle.  I'm so sick of the constant scam artists calling.  But at least I can say that the DNC list HAS cut way down on the calls I get from legitimate companies, to maybe one or two calls a year from some local company who is too clueless to realize they're not supposed to be calling me.  Other than that, besides the rare wrong number, 99% of all calls I get are from scam artists, so I basically know who's calling me automatically.

So much for medical confidentiality.  I just got a diagnosis of AFIB (Atrial Fibrillation) from a private doctor and immediately start getting calls from the scammers working for the lawyers who are suing the makers of Xarelto, a widely used new drug that treats AFIB.  I blocked their first number (540-628-8912) and they immediately started calling with 931-253-1002.  How did they know?  Must be that my medical records are not really confidential at all.  I never got calls from these scumbags before my diagnosis.

Since this is one of the most popular scams right now as evidenced by the numerous reports on different number threads, my guiess is that you were simply on their next round of calls.  HIPAA laws forbid release of information and the fines are extraordinarily high.  No doctor in his right mind would release your records.
