- DonSimple solution. If it rings twice and then disconnects, it is a robo call and almost certainly a scammer. Block it.
- Caller: Market Place
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JuniasRepeatedly called a secondary number. Messages were dead air.
- Mama BeeMarketplace Telemarketer from Clarksville TN. Have received daily calls from this number for the past week. Reported them but will now block them. DO NOT ANSWER!

- Kris in MA replies to bobfmdcIt's just a coincidence. They've called me from a couple different phone numbers in the last few days, too, but no one in my household has ever taken Xarelto or anything similar, and no one has AFIP or any other heart problems.
- JeanThese scammers keep calling under different numbers. They must get a few fools believing their ridiculous spiels otherwise why do it at all?
- Caller: Market place
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KenWe got a call from this number today at 3:30 pm and didn't answer. A voicemail message was left. It was a recording regarding a legal case against the manufacturers of Xarelto. The caller ID was MARKET PLACE. This same caller ID was also used with 617-651-8750. It has been added to our call blocker, which allows caller IDs to be blocked in addition to numbers.
- Krismultiple calls from this dead air scammer.

- Steve in MACaller ID says "MARKET PLACE". They leave a message. Their software is too stupid to wait for the beep. I have attempted to reconstruct the beginning of their message from other posts. Their message is, "...consumer alert. The blood thinning drug Xarelto has been linked to serious injuries. If you or a loved one suffered from internal bleeding or any other injury from using Xarelto, you may be eligible to file a claim. To find out if you qualify, press 5 now, or press 8 if we reached you by mistake. Again to receive your no cost/no obligation case review press 5 now."
I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number). I hear the following, "Hello and thank you for calling. If you'd like to be placed on a Do-Not-Call list for the number that called you, please, press 1 now." (I never go on their DNC list as it can actually make things worse).
So they spoof their caller ID and fail to identify themselves on their message. I'm guessing this is some kind of phishing SCAM. - DoNotCall AnytimeMarket Place has called numerous times and did not leave a vm. No one in our household has ever taken Xarelto. So why are they calling????

- Scam or Legit?American Injury Attorney Group, and other lower class attorney groups, often hire marketing firms to meet the necessary notification requirements to gain "class action" status in the courts. They also spend big bucks running ads in national newspapers, and on cable, again, to meet the notification requirements. However, the legitimate firms typically don't continue to recall the same numbers, as they can already verify that they provided notification.
