I wasn't surprised to get a call from someone in regards to my sister (she often gives our # ) claiming it was very urgent & had to do w/ her driving privileges & they gave a callback # & a case #.It sounded legit so I gave her the info,she called the next day inwhich I was witness too.Long story short she was in an accident 8 YEARS AGO ! They demanded she pay $5,700, but would settle for $2,700. It was unbievable & they had my sister so upset,they kept insisting to press charges.They bullied her into a verbal agreement & wanted her checking account # or debit account.We called the insurance comp. they claimed to employ them,they suggestd to call the police & not pay a dime,the police suggested the Attorney Generals office & to not pay a dime. I later called back wanting info i.e. website ( phony!) & names & an address,all of which caught him of guard,he had the nerve to ask why I WANTED IT very rudely.THESE SCUMBAGS  ARE BULLIES AND FAKES.PLEASE DON'T LET THEM TRICK YOU & TURN THEM INTO THE AUTHORITIES!

I got a call from HK Craig in Sarasota, FL, threatening to put liens on my vehicles and suspend my driver's license if I didn't pay them $3509.28.  The phone number they gave me was 866-997-2924.  They called me today.

Total Fleet Solutions (handles claims for rental car damage) in Florida tried to get more money than they were due from my insurance company many years ago.  When they couldn't get it, they gave my case to Gulf Coast Collections to continue to harass me.  Now HK Craig has all my info. and claims they are authorized to represent Total Fleet Solutions.  I called TFS and asked if they deal with HK Craig and *they* told me that HK Craig bought out or merged with Gulf Coast Collections and that yes, they handle collections for them. They seemed completely unaware that these guys are extortionists.  She told me that my case was closed three years ago and she would "let them know that they can stop calling you."  I asked her if she had a clue that these guys are just extortionists out for personal gain?  I suggested that Total Fleet Solutions was going to be implicated too, if they didn't disconnect themselves from these guys.  Starting to wonder if Total Fleet Solutions and Gulf Coast are also in on this scam to a degree; selling outdated debts - and all our personal information - to these criminals.  Sell it for a nominal fee and then Craig can keep all he can get.  

If there is a lawsuit any of you are involved in about this, these other companies should be investigated, too.

I called Total Fleet Solutions and now I've called and talked to the "attorney" at Gulf Coast Collection Bureau."  Both of them vouched for HK Craig being a legitimate business, though the first person to answer the phone at Gulf Coast told me that HK Craig bought the subrogation claims from Gulf Coast.  I explained that my claim had been settled years before and the personal information they sold was only being used to scam me out of money.  How could they not know this? When I presented the information to them that Craig was a professional extortionist and that, by doing business with them and ignoring this evidence, they could be implicated in a case against Craig, the "attorney" got sarcastic and hung up on me.  

I say go after all of them.

My Fiance and I fell for it and am very upset to know that they are a scam and i am willing to contact an attorney regarding this. They not only took my payment over the phone from a credit card but alaso took money from my checking account. NOT VERY HAPPY PEOPLE RIGHT NOW. any one else wanting to put a stop to these scammers?

Please let me know who you are dealing with because we are dealing with the same thing. I just actually gave them my credit card number and made payment to Payoff yesterday and they hit my checking account again today after I paid it off. They will not call back or answer emails. I will be stopping payment tomorrow.

These idiots called my neighbor's home stating they needed to speak with my husband concerning his drivers license. I am a CPA and I tell everyone who gets a call from these people to contact the BBB in Fl asap. It is against the Fair Debt Collections Act for any bill collector to threaten to suspend your drivers license, which they can not do in the first place, put you in jail, or threaten you with penalties or fines of any sort. This is actually borderlining impersonation of law enforcement, which is a Felony. Have no conversation with these people. Do not give them any information. File a complaint with the BBB in Fl and contact the attorney general for Fl to inform them of the business practices of this company.

I urge you to contact the florida attorney general in Tallahassee right now. I have researched this company and the CEO/Manager has been arrested multiple times for Larceny of no less than 300 but no more than 5,000, and convicted in Sarasota County Florida. Also contact the FTC.

I want to inform everyone who see's this: The CEO of this compoany was arrested in June of 2011 for Larceny of 300 but less than 5,000 under Flordia statute 812.014(2c1). Anyone interested can google H K Craig and Associates, find the owner's name, go to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office web site, look under arrest records, enter the owner's name, you will see the arrest from June and several other's. Also look for other postings on Google about this man, specificly in the Herald Tribune in Sarasota Florida. Look for an article that was published in July of 2008. DO NOT FALL FOR ANYTHING THIS COMPANY TELLS YOU. IT IS A TRICK, LIE, FRAUD. IF YOU HAVE GIVEN THIS COMPANY ANY MONEY REPORT THIS TO THE SARASOTA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE IMMEDIATELY!

I urge you to contact the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office immediately! Do not give these people any further information. Do not have any further conversations with these people. Also contact the Attorney General in Tallahassee immediately. Change all account numbers. Contact all your creditors and alert them that you have been a victim of fraud. I would also obtain a copy of your credit report and make sure nothing has been entered by this company. If something does appear then file a dispute of the debt with all three credit reporting agency's immediately and hire an attorney. If you can not afford an attorney the Attorney General may refer you to Legal Aid of Florida for assistance. I also urge everyone to read the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for further information as to what a valid debt collector can and can not do. Various State Attorney General's from across the nation are cracking down on companies who operate in this manner and citizens need to speak up against this type of business.

I urge everyone who is contacted by this company to immediately contact the Florida Attorney General's Office, the BBB of West Florida, and the FTC. This company is not registered with the O.F.C. in Flordia, which they have to do, they use illegal tactics by telling you they will/have suspended your driver's license, which no collection agency can do, and under no circumstance provide them with any banking information. Several people have reported making payment and then their accounts were overdrafted by the company. Do not have any further conversation with this company.

Tues guys are a joke some one should put them in jail for this fraud

Are you referring to HK Craig?  They just got $931.00 out of me.  As soon as I hung up, within one minute, I got a bad feeling so I looked them up on the internet and found out they are scammers.  I immediately called the credit card company and they feel they can fix this problem.  They threatened that my driver liscence would be revoked if I didn't pay the money for a wreck my son had in my car.  They just caught me at the wrong time and I fell for it.  That is so not like me.  Hopefully the credit card co can get this straightened out.

I received a call from HK Craig also about a wreck my son had in my car also that was over 2yrs ago. I called the BBB in FL and was told that this Company received F and that they have tried to contact this company to make them part of the BBB but they will reply to them she also stated that this company has received 8 complaints within the last year. I called the DMV and was told that my license were good.

If you caused an accident and did not have insurance then you owe the money for the damages. Insurance companys hire collection agencies or third party administrators to pursue subrogation claims and this company is one of the two.

Pay for your insurance or pay for the damages when you cause an accident. That simple.

I have worked at insurance companies and if you have an accident and it was your fault-whether in a car or due to some negligence on your part-you are liable. If you had insurance-wonderful! If not, then you are the responsible party that must pay for the damages. If you owned a vehicle but were not driving it and the driver caused an accident, then you are responsible as well as the driver of the vehicle.
The person whom you hit had insurance and they will pay for the damages to their insured. They will then come after you to get reimbursement from your negligence. If the insurance company does not get any response from you then they will give the file to a collection agency to work and get you to pay. I have seen many files handed over to a collection agency. So this is a valid company who has a job to do. Find you and get you to pay your debt.

I received an alert on my credit report that this company pulled my credit report. I am with a credit monitoring agency and they let me know of any changes to my credit. I did not give them permission to pull my report. I immediately looked them up on line and found alot of negative things to say about them. I called the company and the phone message sounded very unprofessional. i left my number for them to call me back without giving my name. I will see if anyone calls me back.

What would be the reason for them to pull my credit?
