After seeing some people say it was Verizon I decided to call the number back as it had called my cell twice within minutes after me calling them regarding my account. It was an automated survey on customer satisfaction. First question asked me to press 1 or 2 in order to answer. When I pressed 1 nothing happened & then "she" replied she didn't understand my response, please try again. Not sure how many ways I can press 1 so after a couple more tries finally hung up! That was about as successful as my initial customer service call earlier!

Today I had just talked to Verizon Wireless about my phone plan on which I had a question and talked to an actual person with Verizon Wireless...Then about 20 minutes later, or less, i got a call from 949-286-3971 and wasn't able to answer it, so it went to voice mail....In listening to my voice mail message, the sound came on at first which comes on my mobile phone when i have a text message from them or make a payment over the phone and it was the exact same sound like i have heard from Verizon Wireless, and then it asked if I wanted to take a survey about my call today which I had made to them, and gave me the No. 866-298-2014 to call to conduct the survey.    I assume this was legit since I did call Verizon Wireless today about a problem.  As far as I am concerned, it was legit call.

I just got a call from 949 286 3971.  Didn't answer it as I never answer numbers I don't know anyway. I did just recently change phones and use customer service, but if it is honestly Verizon doing a survey etc, you would think it would also say Verizon on the caller id. Not worth risking it for a silly survey wish all the scammers out there. I am VERY grateful for this site to be able to check these numbers out and stay informed. Thank all of you very much!!

That. is awful! It is a shame that the criminals have more rights to privacy. etc than the victims of these ridiculous scams do! I hope you somehow manage to get a fair and just end result.

This number is from Verizon Wireless. It's an automated call in response to my calling Verizon Wireless for account help, to ask me to take a survey. It gives an 866 number to call back if interested in taking the survey in regards to my call for assistance. Just a quality survey.

This is a prepaid phone I do not use every day.  Unknown calls are usually telemarketers which are not  okay on cell phones

Phase One of the invasion has been completed. Both armies are now imperceptibly embedded in our everyday life. Their war, however, continues and vast cellphone-based electromagnetic net weapons are in operation daily thanks to ignorant use of cellphones by billions of the earth's inhabitants. Please do not answer calls from 949-286-3971 or its associated fax numbers as each call you make adds to the power of the weapons these armies use. And yes, it is true that when you use these numbers your calls are monitored and any sensitive data available through a nearby wi-fi network of personal computers, PDAs, or other cell phones are searched, downloaded and logged for future use by both the G2 services of each army and the associated mirror agencies within certain national governments (US, UK, France, Japan, Brazil, Israel, Saudi Arabia, India and China; although more governments may be involved). The UN has been completely compromised by the invaders and is now just a listening post for off world planners who are busy creating linkages between the armies deployed here and the natural resource management infrastructure currently in the hands of certain national governments and multinational corporations (for example, TATA, ADM and Nestle). Strength and silence will thwart the invaders. Don't call this number or its associated fax numbers. Return to this location for future updates and advisories.

It is Verizon.  They actually left me a voicemail saying it was for a short survey in response to a recent call to customer service.  Left an 866 number for return call.

I just got off the phone with Verizon discussing a problem I'd had.  I didn't know what this call was so I didn't answer but guess it makes sense that they were doing a follow up survey.  Glad to know that.  Thanks.
