"You Have Won A Free Cruise!"  No, we didn't.  Called home phone 1/20/17 at 9:03 Am, CID showed "Irvine       CA"  (note the extra spaces, this is deliberate).  Wife answered and got the cruise pitch.  We get many calls from this CID under different numbers, so these scammers are trying to keep you off guard.  If I see this CID I know not to answer.  Avoid this caller.

I just got a call from this number.  I didn't answer and let it go to the answering machine.  All I heard was a very weird noise like it was in an echo chamber.  Obviously this was a huge number of people all calling everybody.

I just received a call from this number.  Like most outbound dialer scams, it took a few seconds for the call to be handed off to an 'agent' after I answered the call.  The person on the other end said in a very faint and echo-sounding voice "You're an ***hole" and hung up.  Weird.

My theory is many scam outfits are employing agents at a flat rate.  The agents get paid whether they sell or not, so they spend the day amusing themselves by being obnoxious.  The liberal application of a rubber truncheon would greatly improve their behavior.

Didn't recognize the number, let it go to Voice Mail. No message left. Typical telemarketer's MO.
