I am on the National DO NOT CALL LIST and I am still receiving calls from this number!

another health scam I wonder if social security is selling cellphone numbers to make up for their shortfall

keep getting calls from this number, but don't know anyone with this area code.  what is this number???

Seriously, I'd like to continue paying for my health insurance and stop getting calls from this number. When I stay on the line and tell them to take me off of their call list they hang up on me. getting kinda annoyed. I'll try the do not call list.

951-240-1397 has called me from California a couple of times.  This is apparently an insurance company telemarketer.  I am on a do not call list.

They called today. I answered. It was a recorded message about health insurance. I am on the Do Not Call list, so they should not be calling. I am going to report the call to https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
and suggest that you do too.

its kinda funny how your on the do not call list... but yet all these scams are calling and disturbin you.... are they not fining these companies breaking federal laws???? i have made over 30 complaints for people calling me... which i am on the do not call list as well... guess that doesn't mean nothing.... they'll still call you... if all of you have turned em in... why they still calling people?

They probably weren't trying to find you, rather they have amassed a lot of phone numbers over the years (people usually change their number, if they have bill collectors or telemarketers bothering them).  Sales is a numbers game, and telemarketers make many calls every day.  Occasionally they get lucky and reach someone who believes their B.S., or needs what they're selling (insurance or whatever...and who knows if they REALLY are selling insurance?!).  If you need what they're selling, the best way to be sure/safe, tell them you are going to hang up and look (the insurance company up online and call them directly).  Don't go to a website or call any number the telemarketer gives you!) . If they aren't legit they'll probably just hang up and move on to the next number on their list  but while they're on the line ....Tell them to REMOVE your number, or you will file harassment charges against them!

I have my number registered w/ "Do Not Call" how do these people get away with it? Scammers

The do not call list doesn't help. Every time I tell them I'm on the list they just hang up on me. I just asked to speak to a supervisor (literally 3 minutes ago) and she said she'll take me off the list, then hung up. We'll see if they call again...since I've been told before that I was off the list. I'm trying to figure out what company this is so I can report them to the BBB. The calls have gotten ridiculous.

Go back and read all the info for the do not call registry, there are several exceptions. Also they have 30 days from the time you ask to be put on their do not call list to make it effective.

I don't give out my cell # either, but I found out that some moron had applied online for health insurance & put my # down for their contact (one of the calls was from a local # and a real person who was nice & told me) so now I get automated calls a couple times a week.  The no-call list doesn't work since my # was actually used to request information.  Dammit!

Just got a called from my cellphone, hit ignore, all of the sudden...no message.

Just rec'v'd another call from this number (11/15/2010 @ 3:24PM). Again did not answer. No voice msg was left. Again, why is Temecula, CA calling me??

I keep listing this number on donotcall.gov's complaint page, yet this number keeps trying once per month. Wondering if donotcall.gov's registry is a sham?

I received a call from this number on my cell phone too. It is registered on the do not call list and I have filed a complaint with them. I have adopted the practice of answering these unknown calls and then repeatedly hitting the # sign on my phone (at least 6-7 times). When these calls are computer dialed this repeated tone confuses the computer in to thinking the number is inactive or a bad line and it will drop your number from the list. If the call is made from a telemarketer it will blast their ear with an annoying tone and they are not likely to call you back either. Both ways it is effective in getting back at these unsolicited callers.
