    "No routes found"
    From an adult males voice.
Then the call went into a T-120
    i.e. a fast busy signal.
Calls from Florida have many scams coming from there.

Received call 12:43pm Jan 26th, with automated message for "free home security equipment" by pressing 1.

I pressed it and was connected with "Carolyn", a woman with a moderate Indian accent.
She would only say that the name of this company is "Home Security Company", and hung up when I demanded other contact information.

Received call 01/28/2015 12:30 pm Pacific Time. Started with beep then nothing. I always wait for the caller to say something with these type of calls. After "BEEP" just hang up. Don't say a word. "Beep" is a recording device to verify connection.

From what I know about these types of calls: it is a robot using a spoofed (not real) callback number. The number is spoofed because the scammers know most people will not answer blank or unknown numbers.

The robot dials and listens for one of 1)your voice to answer or 2) voice mail prompt from your phone or 3) never answered.

The robot is smart enough to know that if you say "hello" or your voice mail prompts to leave a message then it will add your number to the list of "live" people to sell to "Ann from Account Services" or any of the many scam solicitors out there.

The only way around this is to turn off your voice mail service and screen all calls letting the ones you do not recognize ring off the hook--the robot will discard your number. How many are willing to not have voice mail? Sorry to say, but if you answered or let it go to voice mail then expect more calls from different numbers. Bad thing is, once your number is sold you can never get away from these annoying creeps...

Knowing the above (assuming I am right) and I did (this time) let it go to voice mail. Now I can expect a live person to call me within a day or so from a different number (spoofed of course). The call will start off with an automated "Hi, I'm Ann from Account Services".  I will, if I am bored, talk to the rep trying to waste as much of their time as possible (act like a potential victim of their scam). I had one guy on for 30 minutes thinking he was talking to two very elderly people who were not in the same room of a very big house. With every question he had for one octogenarian he would have to wait until the old guy or gal could walk all the way to the other end of the house to put the other on the line to answer his question. That repeated about 10 times...."hold on, I'll get Harold, he has that answer.......heavy breathing, sounds of pitter-patter on the floor, a knocked over plant, some mild cussing about why the plant was there...." on and on.

Another trick, if you have time and don't pay per minute is to put the scammer on hold while you get your credit card statement. Place your phone next to the computer speaker while you play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-yU5Ekv14U. Make a game out of it, see who will hold for the longest...

Disclaimer: I am not a phone specialist or a do-not-call system expert, I can only summarize the above from research on these types of scam calls... I could be wrong but it makes sense, why buy a phone list if it contains "dead" numbers, the scammers only want "live" numbers.

YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING". DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS. DON’T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED! When you press the number to have your number removed, all you do is confirm that your number is a working one and then they sell your known active number to another scammer. Now I either block the numbers or I don't answer the phone at all.

Let me explain my idea of ROBO CALLS. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). Add to that that there are 800 possible area codes.  The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers times 800 more to copy and paste to).

NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES (statute of limitations on debt:  http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml)  who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, , and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  It’s a lot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller,  but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.  My home phone blocks 30 numbers but the address book holds 3,000 numbers.  I save each call as spam and don't answer it.

ITS OUR LIFE AND WE NEED TO TAKE IT BACK.
One person said to call forward selective to the FCC whose number is 1-717-338-2533

The Center for Investigative Reporting joined two news organizations in an investigation of groups that use telemarketers to raise money and what they found is that most of the money is paid to telemarketers, leaving the charities with little, if anything. (3%)

Not only that but reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.

So it's good advice to remember to just say no to anyone who solicits over the phone unless you actually know the person calling.

                                                                                           DEBT COLLECTORS
This was posted on this web site:

The Fair Debt Collection Act (FDCPA) was put into place To give people legal rights when it comes to collection agencies and collection attorneys.  If this collection agency is calling you for a debt you owe or a debt that is not yours, they could be violating your rights.

IF YOU ARE BEING CONTACTED BY ANY COLLECTION AGENCY,  get in contact with         http://www.fdcpacompliance.com/           asap so they can determine what rights these bottom feeders have violated and take action.   More and more American’s find themselves being hounded by debt collectors as a result of our country’s recent economic downturn.  The good news is that harassment is an illegal act according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).  The great news is that each infraction is PUNISHABLE UP TO $1,000.00 TO THE CONSUMER for statutory damages, and possibly more for actual damages!  The offending agency also has to pay your attorney’s fees.  The only thing that the consumer generally has to do is help to gather and provide information.
