- B| 1 replyHi,
I received a call from 1-954-351-0087 today around 3pm. The man said his name is MIKE MEIER, ha ha. Already this sounds like a scam. Anyhow, here's all that he talked about so other people can have a heads up:
-He is calling from ''Caribbean Cruise Lines'' to offer us a consulation prize. He claims someone in my family must have entered a contest to win a free car, but instead won the consulation prize of a cruise trip for two
-He states his call-back # as: 1-800-869-2387 (number of Ramada Plaza Resorts)
-He stated his company's 'licence and bond #" as: ST37425
-Cruise is a 3day- 2 night to the Bahamas, leaving Fort Lauderdale, FL, to Paradise Islands; hotel: Atlantis Hotel
-He wanted a credit card number to pay for port taxes before sending out a package of DVD and stuff...when I told him I did not have one or any access to one, he insisted I check my 'online' profile to get the credit card info from there. I insisted there is no card that belongs to me and I have no access at the moment, and he just hung up on me.
I called the BBB in Florida, entered in the company phone # (the 1800 one) and it gave a pretty astounding report. I won't go through it here, but you can try it. BBB's # is: (561)842-1918 follow the instructions and you should hear the report on this business. They have a rating of F and have had 500+ complaints.
Hope this helps prevent their success in scamming people!!!
Happy holidays. - Not even answering Travel ScamStarted 3 months ago. They called 4-6 daily, eventually reduced 1-2 daily after not answering which is managable. Now back up to 4-6 daily. Don't even answer, how can this ever stop???

- annoyed_operatorI received two calls on my cell in the last few days, First one said it was Carmen Electra offering me a Bahamas cruise. Second one was dead air and hung up. I phoned back, pressed 0 for Operator who put me on hold immediately and it was the same message of Carmen Electra. I phoned back a few times, pressed 0 and spoke to two really, REALLY nasty b*t**es. I am registered with the National Do Not Call List. I submitted a complaint to DNCL and phoned back to 954-351-0087 advising the rude, snarky women that I have submitted a complaint through DNCL and I hope they get fined. Next time they phone me I'm talking filthy dirty to them to see how they feel.

- JayThe number kept calling me and when I looked up the area code it was Fort Lauderdale.. they finally called back at a time where I could answer and it was from a phone survey I had done a couple days before and they were explaining about me winning the cruise.. all I had to do was give them my credit card or debit card number for $59.00 tax port fee per person (which was a cruise for two) and that would hold my spot for up to 18 months so I could call back within 60 days of whenver I wanted to take my cruise.. I didn't have the money I told him and he said he couldn't make any promises but perhaps he would be able to see my name in the system again and call back another time... I wonder if this is for real?

- S replies to Bi literally just got off the phone with a Mike MeIer...wow. he sounded so pushy and had someone in the background telling him what to say and that i had to make the payment TONITE Or i would lose out on the mexico stay in puerto vallarta, vegas, and the bahamas extended stay for 898, a steal he said. i kept telling him i couldn't commit to anything until i talked to the man of the house and that if he wanted to call me back then i could make a deal but not tonite. he's going to call me back tomorrow but i figured when i got off the phone with him, a woman's intuition, something was up becuase nothing is free... so i googled the phone number and came across this page. thank goodness!!! i asked several questions and he remained as polite as can be, guess he's a better 'steals'man then the rest but now how do i get the 118 i paid already in september for my port fees and taxes to reserve the cruise. undoubtedly i will never see that again.

- RobI have also recently received a deluge of calls to my cell phone from this phone number. "Michael New" told me he was calling from Carribean Cruise Lines to let me know I had won a 3-day, 2-night trip on their new cruise ship to Nassau, Bahamas. The only cost I was responsible for was travel to/from Ft. Lauderdale and "government port taxes" ($59/person). His sales pitch was polished, as was his segue to asking for my credit card information to secure my spot on the cruise (i.e., the port taxes). When I balked at giving my credit card info over the phone, he got a little salesman-like pushy and eventually turned me over to his "supervisor", one "Scott Pirong". The supervisor invited me to call him at another number (800-869-2387) while he stayed on the line, to verify that the caller ID showed as Carribean Cruise Lines, with the expectation that I would then provide credit card information (I didn't). Not rude, as other people have experienced, but highly suspicious in their insistence on getting my credit card number over the phone without allowing verification of their legitimacy.

- lissy replies to Hilton| 1 replyI have also been called by this number several times each day and i called it back and the voice message said promotions and I had no idea what that meant. I think they got my number from a survey I did by accident. I guess I just won't answer from now on.
- Travel ScamThey keep calling and constantly wake me up during my morning, afternoon and evening naps. Receiving 5 harrassing calls on average a day will definitely keep you wired!
I don't answer, otherwise they know the phone # is live and will likely call more often. They are definitely the most aggressive scam operation that has ever called.- Caller: BESM

- Gary WidellI receive regular calls from this number, which I never answer. I reported it to the National Do-Not-Call Registry a couple of months ago, but the calls continue.
- kingpThis number called 2-3 times a day... I answered once and it was "carmen electra"
Called them back from my work phone asking them to remove my number. Hopefully they do. - IBI've been getting calls from them for at least a week now, on my cell. The calls ends once I begin speaking. Once I didn't, and there was a message/promo by Carmen Electra about the vacation packages you're all talking about.
I can't believe most of the posts are from 2008 - they've been at it for at least 2 years! Well, I'm going to block the # on my cell.- Call type: Unwanted
