- Fleabite replies to TAState of Florida Fraud investigator now.... In as calm a manner as possible put together any and all information from Ramada, put down in your own words a letter documenting everything and I mean everything from the beginning....
Also contact your bank or financial institution and inform them of what happened, send a letter to the credit ratings agencies asking them for your dossier and ask them to put a watch on your account.
Normally one would send out at least three legal letters informing the other party of there responsibilities to you, each a bit higher tempo than the first.... If that party does not respond they are immediately behind the eight ball.
Hope this helps - Nikki replies to TAI recommend contacting the Better Business Bureau through their website. I was able to recoup my "reservation fee" after I received the material and decided it was a scam. They tried to give me the run-around on the phone saying I wasn't eligible for a refund and Blah Blah, but when I asked them to direct me to the printed rules on refunds not one person could! I explained this on the BBB website and within 6 weeks I had a refund to my credit card.
- dideWe receive 2-3 phone calls a day for the past month. My husband finally talked to the salesman who proceeded to call my husband a f.... jerk and hung up on him. My husband called back and a supervisor hung up on him. He called again and the supervisor said sales rep was fired. Pretty positive the rep wasn't fired as I have checked on the internet and it seems this is how they do business. If you know how to file a complaint that will actually get you somewhere I'd love to know. Tried emailing Ramada Plaza Resorts and the email would not go thru.

- ZattarGot a few calls from 954-351-0087. Had a man explain me how this vacation package would be nice and wonderful. THen he sent me to go on the internet to www.nassauparadiseisland.com and I asked him to spell the web address properly. He told me very rudely that I should know how to spell and got frustrated at me. Nice eh?
Further in the call, I told him I had found a website called ripoffreports.com and he got pissed off, thought I was screwing around with him, told me I was being a clown with him, yada yada yada. Very insulting!
Got transfered to the Promotions Manager at Ramada FLA. Go the same speech about the vacation, then they asked for a credit card because I needed to register for this right now. I told them I couldnt just give out my numbers, and the lady (Maureen) said: "Well Sir, we'll pass this on to someone, this isnt for you"

- No More CallsI keep receiving calls from this number almost daily. I am on the do not call list. I answered the first call and the person just hung up. I don't answer these calls anymore. My family recently got scammed by the free Bahamas / Florida vacation trip that ended up costing about $1,000 plus airfare. We were given bottom of the barrel accommodations that we had to upgrade. We were also given a free trip to Las Vegas and another free island cruise. After coming back from the first trip, I couldn't cancel the next two trips fast enough!!! You certainly get what you pay for. You also have attend telemarketing timeshares sales pitches for 4 hours. I already own a wonderful timeshare via a reputable company...I thought that the initial trip was arranged by my vacation resort. So, buyer, beware!!!
- SJMcalled me and we're rude when I asked to be removed from the list

- TThese people call me almost everyday. After about 5 weeks, someone actually spoke on the other end. I asked him to remove my name from the list and stop calling me. He said, "Absolutely not. We will continue to call you and we will not stop."

- AI-1I have received multiple calls a day from BESM at 954 351 0087. I called them and it was the Ramada Plaza Resorts. The operator agreed to take me off their call list but mentioned I may either have a reservation unused with them or about to expire but couldn't explain why no one ever spoke when we picked up the phone. I then remembered that a cruise I had booked was still unused - something I had gotten for free at Vegas for attending a time share introduction meeting. I called the number on my reservation confirmation letter and made sure there was no problem and also told them to keep my name off their call list. The customer service rep agreed and said that the BESM operator should be able to take care of this as promised earlier so I thanked them & hung up a couple of minutes ago (Dec 4th 2008). I will post another note if the calls happen again.
