- paulanz| 1 replyWe received an email recently that began:
I am the assistant to Mr. Anthony Naber, Associate Producer of the National television series “Business Day.”....www.businessdaytv.com is the site we were pointed to. The phone number provided is 1.954.379.4897 x 1099
It was addressed to our general info email address and was to the attention of B.H. a name that means nothing to us. Thanks for posting this; we will disregard.
And to those people writing here who claim the company is legit: how about some evidence? If it's legit, point us to CNN segments, videos, content, reviews/accreditations that support this. Customer reviews? And I'd suggest, too, that you spell check your message before you post. - RogerW replies to paulanzI'm CEO of a tranpsortation co. Got the same voice mail. Anthony represents it is for a "segment" on Terry's show about Best-in-Class logistics companies. He is misrepresenting his intent which makes me concerned about the getting a video fo $20K. Is it worth it to have Terry for that amount? Maybe depending on the audience you want to reach. We will pass. You need to truthfully represent the purpose of your call.
- Mark B| 1 replyToday in America is not a scam. It's actually the furthest thing from a scam. They are a media/production company that writes, produces, edits and creates 5 minute TV segments across an array of extremely relevant and interesting topics, and then acquires the TV airtime to get the message delivered to millions of viewers.
Yes, they get paid to do this. It's called capitalism.
I cannot believe the lack of respect, idiotic accusations and lack of common decency I've read on this pathetic forum. You're a bunch of pathetic losers who couldn't get a date in high school. I should feel sorry for you but I am disgusted by you.- Caller: NA
- DanThis isn't strictly a scam - they're offering a service and asking for a price for it. BUT it's not exactly straight shooting either. I took a half hour call with these people and asked them outright what they would need from us - just content, I was assured. Yet as it would turn out, it's also $20k. It's a paid infomercial, fine. But in that case, tell the person you're calling it's a paid infomercial. It's presented as if it were just a TV segment on a news program. My company often features on news programmes or documentaries so this isn't unusual - of course I gave them plenty of time and information for their news program. If they had said right from the beginning that this 'opportunity' would cost I would have been striaght with them and told them we couldn't afford it if it was a tenth of the price. Basically the conversation wasn't worth their time or mine, and if they had been straight about what they were actually offering from the beginning I would have told them that.
Maybe this works if you have $20k spare for marketing, but maybe they should target the sorts of companies that would have that kind of cash around, and not small developing companies as they seem to.- Caller: "Business Day" with Terry Bradshaw

- julieCan anyone saying that this is not a scam give a link to an actual airing of the show? Or some kind of proof that these people are legitimate at all? If they are legitimate, it shouldnt be hard to find an airing, or some kind of evidence from someone who has paid these fees who received an actual service. Provide proof of legitimacy or stop insulting people looking out for each other who just dont want to be swindled out of 20 grand.
- BillGlad I found this thread - just go the call.
In my books - when you are not straight right out of the gate - it's a scam.
I get 1 to 2 offers like this a year - they call everyone in the company and get them all worked up as this offer is "time sensitive" and we want to include you in the segment we are producing for CNN.
LIAR - oh, and they changed their phone number - 786-536-1600
The other scam is guys that will produce a show segment or a magazine article then want a list of your suppliers so they can pester them to take ads out. Scam.
It's bushleague, vacuum cleaner, call old ladies in the middle of the day business
Sure it's capitalism....;) - Bill| 1 replyGot the call - get about one a year.
They call everyone in the company getting people worked up about this time sensitive opportunity to be part of a segment produced for CNN.
One step below a vacuum salesman..........run out of old ladies to bilk.
Scam, these people are bottom feeders
There are people who produce corporate videos - and they advertise as such..........these [***] on the other hand are lazy scum.......with a bad meth problem. - Kyle replies to BillThey are still at it. Call it what you like, but it is not what the people on the other end of the phone think they are getting.
Beware of names:
Bill Bunn
Neil Leonard
Tammy Harper - WhadaThis is a "pay to play" type company. The have a list of prospects, the telemarketing wing tries to create interest and then send in a closer. The company has gone by many names and changes locations when their scam is widely reported. I googled the Anthony Naber, aka Wade A Naber and found the following:

- FU2 replies to Mark BYou're the pathetic loser for working with these con artists who are working this modern day variant of the puff-sheet scam. They hire some once-well-known spokesperson to record generic intros and tags that could fit almost any business, then they start making the sales calls, making it sound like the celebrity is taping a special show about the victim's business or organization.
- JohnI Got a call today. Thought it sounded fishy. Why would Bradshaw be associated with this type of stuff?
It went well right up to asking for 24,800 to make sure I was serious.

- Latest Potential TargetI spoke with a "Show Producer" from "Today in America with Terry Bradshaw" who was highly interested in featuring my company in an upcoming newsmagazine segment. He said that he believed that we were unique and thought our company would be a great public interest story. The initial call was very short and led only to setting up a more in-depth call for the next day. After setting up a specific time we hung up and within minutes his "assistant" called me to reschedule. Having been approached by similar production companies in the past I was suspicious so I asked her specifically if there was any fee connected to the show and she said "No - we do our own air buys and are not looking for sponsors."
Thanks to everyone posting on this site my suspicions were confirmed. The first question I asked the producer in our in-depth call was "Is there any monetary commitment on our part connected with this show?" His answer was "Absolutely...$19,800." When I declined - the call ended within a matter of seconds.- Caller: Today in America
- LWAlso got a call from NetWorth with Terry Bradshaw. The assistant who called first tried to speak with our CEO directly. The call was thankfully bounced to me. They wanted to set up a "preliminary meeting" with myself, one of our execs, and one of their producers. They claimed they were working on a story in our particular industry and thought we might have a perspective to offer. Smelled funny to me, and the NetWorth website said nothing about their business model or charges of any kind. Only after looking at and researching the people listed at the "team" did I start to see evidence of the scam. Really appreciate all the information here.

- ElizabethThey call all the time ("Francesca," "Anthony"). Most recent callback number was 786-536-1606; it comes up as Studio Bradshaw on caller i.d. I've had a couple of messages stating that they are against their deadline, don't understand why they haven't been able to connect...and that they won't be calling again if they don't hear back...but they call again in a day or two! Persistent, anyway. No mention of cost when I've spoken to them.

Got a call today from Jesse Melendez making it sound like they would like to have our business be a contributor to one of their segments. Did some research and found this website and loaded up with information before calling them back and peppering Mrs. Melendez with questions. Turns out after talking with Mrs. Melendez that there would be a monetary exchange, and we would be required to fork over an unspecified amount for having a vested interest in the "piece produced". Thanks for the information.
