robo called about 10 times 11-11-19.  answered once they said to get refund press 2 which I did not do.  calls started again this AM 11-12-19.  number shows as Deerfld FL.  Definite scam and most likely Fraud.  If I had a choice of Fraud under call type, that is what I would mark this caller.

Call your representative in congress. demand that they introduce or support current legislation to stop and prosecute telephone scammers. They work for us. The technology and agency enforcement exists  and needs to be put in place.

It is a scam.  It refers you to call 206-415-2661. You can read the notes on that number regarding this scam call.

Caller ID says "DEERFLD BCH FL".  They leave a message.  Their software is too stupid to wait for the beep, so the beginning is cut off, "... 21 week.  This is to inform you that we have renewed your anti-virus security for the upcoming one year, and we have charged you $399, and within 24 hours you will see a charge from Vtech Solution.  If you want to cancel the subscription, and want a refund, then, please, call on this number 1 (203) 552-2489.  Cancellation should be done within the 48 hours upon receiving this confirmation call.  Thank you.  This is David Jones, customer relationship manager.  This is a poorly made computer generated message.  This often indicates that the caller has a serious accent likely from a scammer in another country.

Another site has a similar message, "Hello.  This is Kate.  I am calling you from computer refund department.  The company which you made the payment for your computer security is no longer in business, and you have a subscription remaining for 2 years.  We are going to refund your payment.  Please, call us on 206 415 2661.  To claim your refund press '1'.  I repeat, press '1' to get connected with our refund department now.  Thank."  Once again, it's a computer generated voice but of higher quality this time.  Note the change in company name and phone number (2 red flags).

I agree with an earlier post from MikeHuntleton.  They will likely ask for access to your computer.  This is either for stealing information (bank account numbers, etc.), installing randsom-ware, of falsely claiming that you have a virus that they can "fix" for a hefty fee.  Never let a cold caller have access to your computer.  I also suspect that they want your credit card number for the faux refund (what could possibly go wrong?).

I received a call from this number.  When connected to a live person, and I asked why I was getting a call at my number, the person said I have no idea why you got a call at this number you [***]. They then proceeded to hang up. There is no way to call the number back to complain.

954-429-5750 just called   I picked up long enough to hang up.  I'll block them next time.  I really despise these people.  I'm a senior, so I can't help wondering if they just see me as an easy target.  I get so many of these calls, day in and day out.  I'm on my third call blocker.  So much for the theory of the peaceful golden years.
