This number keeps calling - hangs up then calls again asks for a household member RUDE - asked to have our number removed from their calling list

It IS a legitimate company as much as most folks hate them; they're in business to try to sell extended warranty coverage for automobiles after the dealer/factory warranty expires; whether or not they pay is another question, but how do they know that you've bought a vehicle and when the warranty expires?  You got it; the dealers must be furnishing your information to these folks!

This is a "legitimate company" as your post suggests, how come you didn't name them? While you are at it, tell us their address as well. You certainly must have all this information, otherwise how would you know that they are a "legitimate company"? Now if you fail to tell us, then we will know that you are a liar and that these are crooks trying to steal money from people.

I keep getting calls from this number.  I have answered when I find out why they are calling I told them I have a new car that is still under warranty and to take me off the list! They keep calling anyway.  I know this is a scam.  I am on the 'Do not call' list, but apparently they have found a way around that.

RUDE, sleezy-sounding person from 954-601-2600 called at 10:23 a.m. New Year's holiday, Monday, 1/2/2017...I was going to have a "word" with whoever this UNKNOWN NAME number turned out to be....I had to wait for like 2-3 seconds, twice before the sleeze-voice came on and asked to speak to ME---they had my first name only....I asked who was calling and the reply I got was "We're calling about your warranty..." and I cut them off and told them NOT to bother me with this crap again....ALL my family's phone numbers have been on the do not call list for YEARS...and yet nothing changes....scum like this are allowed to invade our privacy ANY time they want.

By "allowed to", are you referring to the same way murderers are allowed to murder, kidnappers are allowed to kidnap, and bank robbers are allowed to rob banks?

Rude telemarketer selling vehicle extended warranties.  Not sure where they got my name, address, vehicle model & year, but they weren't affiliated with the vehicle manufacturer.
