This caller is plaguing me in Los Angeles.  No message left.  Called back and get music answering line with no end.  Seems like this a sales caller looking for information.  BLOCK IT...

THEY keep calling at all hours of the day !!!! I try and get a hold of someone and all I get is recorded music !!

I have received 72 calls from these people in the last month. They call every day, multiple times and never leave a message. I have added them to my DNC list and yet they still get through. Very Very Very angry about it. I don't know what else I can do short of filing a lawsuit!! Any ideas??

Received this call about 10 times today, finally answered it.
Someone with very thick accent wanted information on company and my role.
Told them we are not interested in anything they had to offer, told them to take us off their list.
Seems to be some type of magazine boiler room from what I let the guys say to me.
Told them next time they call, we will fill complaint with FCC, although Im sure he had not idea what that meant.....however, the phone has been quiet for the last two hours!

Repeat phone calls on my cell phone. No answer, no MSG.

Got this call for the 10th time this week, picked it up this time and got a women whos accent I could not understand.  Asked for me, but pronounced my name wrong.  Then I remember on some magazine subscriptions I purposly put wrong last name spelling so I can tell who is selling my information.  When I asked to them to identify themselves and where they are calling from they just kept asking if I was such and such person (using the wrong last name).

I informed them that I recognized the number was from Florida but expecting it was going through a routing service to off shore (maybe India) by the accent.  The person seemed suprised, stuttered and then hung up.  

The name they used is one I put on a trade magazine "free subscription" once, so I expect my name and number was sold.  Could be simple scam or someone overseas using call banks in Florida to track actual valid numbers for resell.

Next time they call (if they do), Im going to ask if they are willing to 1. be tape recorded, 2. willing to hold while I call the phone company to trace their call (which cant happen but it will be fun to see the reaction).

Have gotten calls a few times, like everyone else complaining, with dead air.  They called me at 6:32 this morning again.

The caller is an investment group trying to sell you stocks,bonds,etc and they are very aggressive when you say "no".

I've received 8 calls since Nov. 3, 2010...... it's continuing and irritating.

I keep getting calls from this number, how do I stop them?

my teenage daughter get a call from this # 3x a week when i call back a music plays for at least 7 minutes will put a block on

They are skip tracing trying to verify if It is a valid number for you....usually for collections

I'm getting calls on my work line and there is never a message. please stop or leave a message if it's important.

This is a "contracted telemarketing house".  Someone else on here used the term "phonebank boiler room" or something similar - which maybe a better description.  These types of companies do contracted calling for any one of several reasons:  bill collection, surveys, magazine subscription renewal, credit card offers,......etc., etc.  Proof of that is if you read this thread, you'll see many different types of calls were made from this same number in Florida.  I'm lucky enough I have one of the Meridian phones that digitally display the incoming number.  I have a sticky note above my phone with numbers of suspected offenders on it and when I see this number come in, I just lift he handset and quickly drop it.  I think they think it is a bad number, because it seems to work after a few times.

It's harder and harder to reach people. Call centers usually perform many functions for different companies.
Latest buzz is "selling magazines" or "charities"
Once you give and verify your address and telephone numbers it goes to up to date database.
If you get into any trouble financial or otherwise, credit companies or debt collectors will pay "big buck" per head to have latest and verified info.
