Called me, but wasn't able to pick up the line and play with them.  I'm sure they will call back.

no caller id, phone number way out of my area, just let it rang, machine picked up, no message.

This number called a business line and I answered.  They asked for an Exec that is retired.  When I said that he wasn't available, they tried to get me to confirm his address for his "free magazine"  I just told them that we are not authorized to give out that information and hung up

ignored. no message.

2nd time today.

Magazines telemarketer, seems to be aimed at what kinda business you are in. They got the info, why don't they just keep sending the mag.

They call and ask for my Boss. When I ask who it is, the lady gives her name. I ask where she is calling from and she states "ECN" and then asks for my boss again.  I ask what this is in regards to and she states "ECN is a magazine you subscribe to . Is So and so available?"" so i reply "okaaayyyyy...that still doesnt tell me what you are calling about though." she states she just wants to confirm our address ...(Well if we have a subscription, isnt it safe to assume you have our address?"

I put her on hold until she hung up.

So tired of these calls from people i can barely understand, and who can barely pronouse names or understand simple questions posed to them

Okay, we do get the magazine, and it wasn't a pre-record.  So, even thought it might be a "nuisance", it's a legitimate call.  If you don't want the magazine, just tell them.  If the person isn't there, just tell them they are no longer with the company and to stop delivering the magazine, and you are no longer interested in subscribing.

There should also information in the magazine about how to unsubscribe and remove from the mailing lists.  Or you could go "Postal" and fill out a Form 1500 to stop future delivery (that's the "We don't want no porn" USPS form) as a nuclear option.

Called business line. Silence, followed by a beep, then a computerized voice said "Goodbye" and hung up.

Claim to be from ECN Magazine asking to confirm an employee's personal info. Put them on hold, they hung up immediately.

These inconsiderate losers call all the time, no message, very annoying.  May a diseased Burmese yak drop his cud in your cuff.

Called 9AM - Have called for years and do not stop even if you ask them to stop.
