I got a call from this number and they left message to call back 888-440-6393 so I called and this very young guy told me I won a $40 gift certificate for filling out an online survey and went on about just do this and do that and did not know the name of the company that I supposedly did a survey for not did he have my e-mail that I "used" to fill out the online survey but not a collection call, but seems like a huge FRAUD.

Rude, aggressive, abrasive, cynical and totally unprofessional.
Said his name was Sam at extension 117, refused to verbalize nature of his call until he can verify that I am Desmond but since his greeting approach was so demanding unfriendly, I wanted to hear more about why his call, if was of a professional manner was so inappropriate and would violate the "Code of Ethics" under the Federal Debt Collection Act.

It does not matter who they are. When someone who does not have your express permission ties up your leased private subscription line you have the right to charge them a fee.

Since when do hospitals have collectors anyway? I went in as a charity case with chest pains. Since when can a charity hospital do this anyway? BS

These people are not companies. All of them purchase old debts from sources such as hospitals and then harasse you for money. They tell you to send THEM the money and not to the named agency you supposedly owe money to. That hospital or whatever has written off that debt and these blood suckers pay a dime per dollar to get your information. Record all contact info and then contact: Lemberglaw.com and you could get up to $1500 for suing this so-called collection agency. (This is NOT a paid advertisement but I have used them in the past and won both cases at no charge to me.)

No message was left.  Don't know who they are or what they want.  Calls need to stop immediately or will turn them in to the Attorney General.

Then you should be taking the measures needed to make them stop.
You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (think of it as the best $6.59 you ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Read up on your rights here and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

This guy just called me & asked me for someone not at this number so I told him he has the wrong number and asked if there was anything else I could do for him. He told me he had to speak directly with the other person and I said ok well I just told you you have the wrong number so... them he cut me off and bitched me out saying "then why would you ask if there's anything else you could do for me?!" And hung up on me! I called the number back just to see what the h*ll company would be so damn rude. And it was him again, I could tell by his queeny [***] voice. I asked him why he was such a dick and he said [***] did you really just call my office? And hung up on me again 😂😂😂 Dont know what this company is but, wow, so unnecessary!

They just called me, and a robo-message was left, saying I had a debt, but no other information.  I tried to call the # that was left, 888-548-8829, and the number is no longer working.  Tried to look up the company, but the website is no longer accessible. This has to be a scam.  I even checked my credit report and there are no bills in collections.  If they call again I am going to report them.

Just got a call from a Mrs. Garcia regarding a past due bill from Palm Springs Hospital in Hialeah I told her I had made payments directly to the hospital and tried to set automatic monthly payments with them but they had no capability to do so
She offered a payment plan 5 times higher than what I had agreed with the hospital when I told her I couldn’t she just hanged up on me
I called her back and ask her to send me the balance in writing she said they send too many letters and it cost money that they had already sent it once and refused to resend it
