- snigglefritz| 2 repliesAdd me to the list. They called me, again, today at 5:44 PM. I'm on the Nat. & Ks. no call. They've called numerous times. 1. I've asked them to take me off list. They didn't. 2. I argued with one who told me if I would go on their website, I could take my # off their list. I told him no, he was supposed to do that. He repeated himself insisting I had to go to their website. I insisted it was his responsibility. I'm still on the list. 3. Today I pressed 1 and, after he spoke, I said, "Honey, I need to speek to your supervisor." Broke my heart! He hung up on me! I've had it with this one!

- Susan MalangaRecording leaves a semi-warning message regarding credit card something. "Last chance", ignored letters to our residence, etc. I have had no business with these people, don't want to give them any credit card info, never late on payments, etc.

- DaveWe have received several calls from this number and when we press 1 to speak to a representative and tell them we want to be added to their 'do not call' list, they immediately hang up.

- JackB3Here's my technique when a call comes in from a name/number I don't recognize:
(1) pick up
(2) hang up immediately.
If it's an important and/or personal call, they will call back right away; and if they do, I let it ring through to my answering machine and I monitor the message. If it's a robo-call, they typically don't call back.
The pick up/hang up approach eliminates long dial-tone messages on my answering machine.
As noted by many, DNC lists are essentially useless. - DBC TexasDitto for 971-220-1429 and a miriad of other numbers. Can this not be stopped. What do they get out of these repeated calls to our phone numbers?
- Caller: "Services"
- BisquickI contacted the FCC as they have a number you can call to report unwanted calls. Since the caller left an empty voicemail message, this is considered to be an abandoned call. The person I spoke with at the FCC stated that they are concerned about unwanted/abandoned calls but said they are not going to investigate. I happily accepted a useless reference number for making the call. Oh, and I was told to have a great weekend.
Our tax dollars at work, I guess. This is clearly a violation of the national do-not-call list.- Caller: Services
- ryanCaller was able to look up my name and knew I had a Bank of America account (lucky guess?). Told him to put me on the do not call list 3 times. He told me to "f--- off" and hung up on me

- FrustratedThe calbel companys allow made up numbers to be used. If it was from a legit phone company, Verizon or ATT they would not be able to do this. The service they use is called Voice over IP. All they do is plug in a number and dial. Thaks to the government for allowing this type of service from cable companys. I use Comcast and they verified they allow this and stated they only offer the service and cannot control what the businesses do or who they call. I asked about the do not call list and wa told it only applied to lines from thephone companys and they are not considered a LEC what ever that is.
- Mare replies to snigglefritzGot the same call..... I didn't answer and then called them back. It's a marketing service and the recording said to press 1 to remove my number from their list... I did it, lets see if it works....

- KevinI got one of these stupid calls the other day too.
I wonder if this would work: many credit cards allow you to create "virtual" card #s with spending limits and short expirations, for use on sites you don't trust with your actual card #. Create one with the minimum limit and if they ask for your CC #, give them the virtual #. Then if/when they charge it, call the CC company and report a fraudulent charge and have their a$$es thrown in jail.
What CC companies need is a service where they can issue bogus #s for use on potential scammers, and any attempt to charge the # gets reported.- Call type: Telemarketer
- IrritatedI am so irritated with these calls. Neither hubby nor I answer any unknown number on the Caller ID. This one said "Services". I called back with the blocked feature so they didn't have my number and got a recording. Just plain irritated.
- audreyThis number continues to call my home several times a day and all week long. Spoke to a friendly rep ...lol... not friendly at all. Told them to take me off their calling list and they still call everyday all week long. Someone needs to put a stop to this company's tactics and lies.

- DiaJust got a call .... their story is a bit different than others .... they said if I had more than $3,000 debt on any number of credit cards, I could get my % reduced to 6%. So, I hit #1, foreign sounding gal answered. She said something like, "May I help you?" I said, "You called me. What do you push?" She started talking, and I said....Since the credit card with more than $3,000 on it is my husband's, could you please give me your number so that he can call you. She said, that's all right, we'll call back later and promptly hung up. Hmmmmm??!!

- Xyzzy| 1 replyHOW TO THROTTLE BOGUS CALLS
Ok, here's a solution if your phone has a
contacts list--it works quite well on my iPhone.
Step 1, create a contact named such as:
IGNORE JUNK CALL
Step 2, select a SILENT ring type for this contact.
Or, select a distinctly unusual ring tone like
CRICKETS or MOTORCYCLE or RIFLE...
Step 3. Enable CALLER ID for your line
What you do is to put all bogus and scam callers in this
list... Here's how.
Now, unless you know a toll free number owner,
let all calls of this type go unanswered, and if no
voicemail is left, add the Caller ID as this phone number
In IGNORE JUNK CALL. Also add any other bogus calls
you get or know about go in this contact. Meaning
all callers that don't leave a voice mail, or are soliciting
you for services or products who you don't have
a business relation with. And slime bags you don't want
to talk to, like that jerk at the bar, or your ex.
For new toll free and also out of area cslls: run these
through Google search to see if they have been reported
as junk.
Don't call a toll free number back, it captures your
phone number and you get on other lists to call you.
FURTHER: Don't take the default voice mail message
that came with your phone, because it usually
speaks your phone number and indicates you aren't
around to pick up the call and maybe even speaks your name.
Record a new one
like "Sorry I missed you, your message will be appreciated".
Friends will know your voice. Scammers, not so often.
My list is long now, my silent ring saves me a lot
of interruption.
Feel free to post this elsewhere!
