This company is ridiculous and uneducated. They claim to be pressing charges for fraudulent activity for an illegal payday loan company which was taken care of 3 years ago. They refuse to provide an address and their solution to being challenged is to hang up on you or put you on hold and then disconnect you. I spoke with one of their managers who said to me "I guess you think you know everything" and then hung up on me. Would any valid company treat someone like this who is asking them valid questions? Please join me in turning this company into your State Attorney General, internet crimes division and FTC.

They keep calling everyday and I press the 9 key to speak to a customer service rep, and get hung up on.  Here is what the message says, "The message is for "Upset".  This is Marcus Riley calling from Pre-Trial  Processing calling about court documents that are attached to your  social and driver's license number, etc , etc.  They are also calling my daughter.  This needs to stop.  I don't owe anything to anyone that would be a court matter.  Can they really attached your driver's license and social?  This is crazy.  Any suggestions what to do to stop this?

As previously noted in this thread, it is a scam.
    DO NOT return that call!

Legitimate process servers do not call to warn you, or to get money from you to stop the process.  They will deliver the notification without warning.

Also, if you were threatened with an "arrest warrant" via a phone call or email, read this:
    http://news.uscourts.gov/warning-arrest-warrant-scam

"The warrant is phony. A valid warrant would not be served by fax or e-mail. It would be served in person by a U.S. Marshal or other law enforcement officer."

"Anyone receiving a fake arrest warrant should contact the FBI or the district U.S. Marshals Office. If there is any question regarding the authenticity of a warrant, contact your district clerk of court."

If you KNOW you owe no money, or believe the call was from a fake debt collector, please take the time to read this:

They keep calling me, telling me that I need to call them back because they "need to serve you court papers within the next 24 to 48 hours".  I've been served papers and that person staked out my house all day and got me when I was coming home, they didn't call ahead to let me know or anything like that.

This is a scam.  They use scare tactics using works like "court" and "docket number" and "serve you papers" to scare you into calling them back and paynig them money to "settle this out of court".  They use those buzzwords to get good people to pay them money that they do not owe in the first place.

    Scam debt collectors.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

    Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
    (202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

All of your calls are scams.  I now do not answer the phone for any numbers I do not recognize.  If a call is important they will leave a message.  It has lessened the stress not answering these scam phone calls....

This is pure crap. The debt MAY even  be a legitimate debt, but their collection tactics are HIGHLY ILLEGAL. The worst that can really legally happen is to get sued and lose because you didn't show up in court or you default on the loan or credit card and it screws your FICO score for like EVER...  The fact that they leave someone's full name and all that personal info on a VOICEMAIL is a violation of privacy in the first place.
