"Hello, my name is Amy O'Neill with the private servicing division of Accu-File. I'm calling in regards to a formal complaint that requires your immediate attention. I have documents that are scheduled to be delivered to your residence or place of employment. Please have a valid identification to ensure proper delivery of the documents. If you or your attorney have questions regarding this matter you can contact our client directly at 800-331-4064--again that is 800-331-4064."
Absolutely no mention of who their client was or what the "formal complaint" may be. The number has been added to my "blocked" list.- Caller: AccuFile

That was the message left on the voice mail of my cell phone. I do not give out my cell phone number as a general rule. My cell phone is registered on the DO NOT CALL list, but that never seems to matter either. AccuFile seems to be a collection agency according to Google. It also seems to be connected with the Credit Bureau. The odd thing is I am not behind on any payments and have no outstanding collections against me. I smell SCAM. AccuFile has a website linking the company to a Boston Mass address and phone number. This number is operating out of the Dallas Texas area...Crandall Texas, according to what I have found on Spokeo.- Caller: Accu-File
- MouseIt only takes one sucker calling them back and paying the ransom (so they won't deliver documents to your home or POE) to make it all worth while for them. If you have a phone number and company name, why not file a complaint with the BBB? They have an A+ rating so of course no one is going to question their methods. While the BBB has absolutely no authority to enforce rules or laws, there are people who pay attention to the BBB and sometimes, these people will actually do something.

The one time I did try and talk to them they claimed to have a lawsuit at their office for a debt I had paid off prior. And tried to tell me that who ever I had paid off was the scam. If I pay them 3000+ they will keep me out of court.
But they had every bit of information about me, it was scary.

- Mary| 2 repliesReceived a few phone calls from Amy from two different numbers, two different states. The 800 she told me to call was different each time. I do not have any outstanding debts; but I don't want to have anything delivered to my POE. Has anyone ever received papers? Has anyone found a resolution to these calls?
