- dragonflyI just received a voice mail from 972-498-5000. I know I owe them money, but my house is up for sale, and there's a solid bid on the table. I've explained this to the morons there at least 25 times now (yes, in the past month as I get multiple calls a day from them), but they still never know what's going on when I do get a hold of someone.
They asked me to call them back. I won't as they'll just call again anyway (up to 20 times a day), and when you call them, you get someone who can't speak English and gets mad if you point that out. I had one of them try to argue semantics with me. It was like trying to argue physics with a toddler.
I think Countrywide changes their number just so people will pick up — oh, what's that number? I just add each one I find to a Countrywide contact, which has a "special" ringtone. I don't always feel the need to answer their calls.- Caller: Countrywide Home Loans Collections

- Harassed2DeathThanks for the info for this number. My caller ID came up as Home C ... and the number over the cable tv - however, the telephone caller id did not register. We have had problems with our telephone lines for over a month - and the phone does not work properly in the am, so I wonder how many of these terrorizing, harassing, threatening, embarassing and otherwise annoying calls we missed? ANYWAY, I, too, tried to call Countrywide back on many occasions with the same problem. Now that Bank of India (America) has purchased Countrywide, I get calls from both. These people do not listen nor care to assist us. My heart goes out to India but it is hard to explain to a very poor nation that your mortage debt here in America is due to hardship when they live in slums! On one occasion I spoke with 6 different people in India - jobs that should be here in the US where the person you are speaking with may have a clue.
- Caller: Countrywide (according to posts)
- CI have been receiving these calls lately and they hang up. After reading all the posts about CountryWide I called to see what they wanted since I don't bank with CountryWide. The recording I got was Bank of America Loans. I do bank with them but don't have any loans with them which makes me think they're trying to sell me one.

- PJI used to get called from their 800 number, now B of A is using this number. Like many of you I've told them that until I get things resolved with the lender that holds my first (IndyMac so it'll probably never be resolved) that they were not getting paid. I'm not stupid so why pay my second when my credit is already in the toilet and B of A can't foreclose on me since IndyMac gets first dibs and they don't play nice or share. Adding this number to the blocked calls list.

- Shellylet it ring 4 times and hung up...probably Bank of America. They have no idea what is going on within their own company. Totally disgraceful that we have them billions to bail them out of thier own greed. We should take over the banks. We do not need them, the bosses do.

- Stop harrassment| 2 repliesI surely hope someone put a stop to these calls. I kept receiving calls from this number in regards to home morgage. I recently settled my debt with my home lender, and got out of foreclosure. I went through mediation and has to wait for a loan modification. For some reason I kept getting these harrassing calls but cannot get any info from them without providing personal information. I kept telling them no. Rule of thumb I can verify my identity with address loan number account number or reference no. on loan, but never my social security no. or personal bank account #. It seem that they won't stop calling until they get my personal information. Someone please help stop the harrasment.
Sincerely,
Mr. uptight- Caller: countrywide collections

- MADASHELL replies to Stop harrassment| 1 replyI was getting six calls per day from BofA home loan department....they ask the same questions and say they'll put it into the computer (then why keep asking the same questions?)...they've had my house in short sale for 2.5 years....now they want $15,000 from me to finish up the short sale.....my real estate agent wants to join me in a lawsuit against bofa
- JA missed call from this number. I am not a home owner or if I ever loaned any money from this caller. What can I do to stop this?

- inverse137 replies to MADASHELLTechnically, they can "ask" for any dollar amount they want.
That, however, does not mean you have to pay it. Various parties can hold-up a short sale. The bank, the buyer AND you.
Let them ask for more money. The correct response is "No." - Getting the Run AroundGot a call from this number. We've been waiting on our FHA loan through B of A to be modified via the HOPE program since the middle of March. It's been over 150 days and the process is supposed to take up to 120 days. We're now 2 months delinquent so we'll continue getting called by their collections department. Luckily I can assign the custom ring tone, "mute" to each number like this after I look it up.
We call the bank and the HOPE department diligently every week for an update and get the run around. Nobody knows anything and continues to send us back and forth to different departments. So, yah, I don't feel like picking up their calls, especially when the first thing I hear in my voice mails from them is "Please hold."- Caller: Bank of America

- BoA VigilanteI had to put this up....
Today, after attending the foreclosure Eviction Hearing in Boulder Cnty. Court last week, I get a call from this # (BoA), Dallas Tx. area, who ask if I want to keep my house! I only found out 4 weeks ago that Fannie Mae owned it all the time! From Countrywide through to BoA (The worst bank EVER who doesn't deserve to use the name)
I don't know if I even want it or to continue my Former relationship with them. I was planning on leaving town!...............PS: I have sued BoA in Federal Court Denver already, Fannie Mae "The Investors" and BoA are gonna eat some of that $$ of theirs with THIS HOUSE!- Call type: Debt collector
- BoA VigilantePS: It all started last December with that FRAUD OBAMA PLAN! Boy did HE and his posse make me feel like an [***]...for BELIEVING
- BoA Run Around| 2 repliesIts BoA Collection Dept. calling!
Contacted NACA in March 2010 regarding a loan modification. Almost 1 year later I still do not have a loan modification under "Make Home Affordable Plan" from President Obama. BoA doesn't want to settle with anyone. Each month they keep requesting the same dame information. HELLO PEOPLE, do you think its going to change? They want to foreclose then go right ahead. I can prove I have tried to comply and provided all the information they have requested. Stop giving the American people a run around. Our homes are not worth the amount of the loans anymore. We all want to keep our home but under the circumstances, who in there right mind would want to. I think more people should bring law suits against them and only then will our Government hear. - Jason replies to BoA Run Around| 1 replyOMG i am going through the same thing. How can we band together to file these law suits i just talked to an attorney but the only (free) advice i cant get is to review my loan docs. Shemecia Lewis at BOA is horrible!!!!!!
