- Mike-in-MD replies to ANonieMouse| 1 replyYou mean to tell me scammers and shills are having babies? Well I guess they have to get the baby oil from somewhere.
- AnonymPerhaps one of the reps or "investors" for this company could be kind enough to provide us with the url for their website or a link to their prospectus
- MidNyteStorm1 replies to Mike-in-MDThe scammers & shills having babies is a frightening thought.
- jason w replies to AnonI guess that the majority of people, who post negative comments on this site, have never done any research about investing. I work for one of the major brokerages on wall street, have since 1977. I do not know what you do for a living, starting a business is hard work, a lot of phone calls. That is the only way that most successful salespeople get started, be it insurance, stocks or oil and gas. Contacting people with the financial resources to invest. Years later you get a lot of business thru referrals. still 50% of most sales are still developed thru cold calling!

- ZanderJust received a call from a Mike Watson from 972-701-9106. He sounded like he was talking with his mouth full, because I couldn't understand 90% of what he was attempting to say. When I asked him a few questions such as what is the call about, he hung up on me. When I called the # back, a secretary claiming she didn't know any Mike Watson answered. He made the same little "whatever" comment that he gave Erin above as he hung up. SCAM!

- Wall St anonymous replies to AnonI am an FA on Wall St. oil and gas is hot!! We can't offer these products. Wish we could because the investors are only the high net worth. Also the cold call is really the only way to get the word out about working interest projects, finra is to heavy on advertisement rules to do anything else. Btw your slandering a company's name by calling them a scam... Good luck in court if they find you.

- SamThese jokers called me AGAIN today looking for "the owner". Says he is from Texacoma and has "free money" to give investors. Um, yeah, right. Keeps calling here even when told repeatedly not to call back. A reputable company would not keep calling back when asked not to. He has no callback number. A reputable company would have a callback number. Then he starts insulting me because "I cannot make decisions for the owner". Really? This one I can! Call me back again. Guarantee you will NEVER get any owner on this number!!! Too bad there isn't a "scam" option under call type.

- In the IndustryThis same number and same company called asking for a president by name that retired 15 yrs ago. Different person. Better manners this time than some of the prior posts. They apparently were cold calling off of a very old list. They have a website and they do appear to be legitimately drilling new wells and operating existing wells in TX. I also found court records showing they are real. But they have many complaints on this website, which is not what one would expect from a respectable company. I'm involved in the industry and know how much revenue is surging from frack wells today. Their cold call suggests they must not be a very successful operator, if they need to cold call to raise investment capital, in a business environment that has surging profits. If they were successful, wouldn't it be reasonable that their current investors would be telling others, or their current investors would be reinvesting their prior profits on new wells. Why give up your seat if the ride is already great? Also, who would put money into a company that pisses off so many people by rude telemarketing practices? I can't say if they are good or bad, but there sure are warning flags.

- CA RichAll of you investment selling brokers have missed the true problem here. As a salesman who relies on phone prospecting I know that I need to refer to the National No-Call List before I make that cold call. These guys don't do that and should be made to pay the consequences. At the very least, they should respect requests by the recipient to stop calling. If you don't respect your potential client, how can they value your opinion on investments?

- MikeinOK replies to Texan4life| 1 replyYou are partially correct. They are licensed and everything they are doing is legal but that does not mean it is all above board. I spoke with the person who called me from Texakoma and found out some details about the "opportunity" they were offering. He told me they have active wells in Roberts County, Texas which is in the Texas part of the Anadarko Basin. I then called a friend who is a petroleum geologist and he said that where Texakoma's wells are is an area that does not produce a lot of oil and gas and is mostly used as a place that such boiler room operations can drill wells to attract investors but not ever produce enough that said investors recoup anything. Meanwhile Texakoma takes their cut and goes on to the next cold call.
Just because a scammer follows the letter of the law does not mean that what they are offering is legitimate. - RaymondTexakoma is a long-running scam. Yes, they do tap dance around the edge of legality and yes, their brokers are licensed, but to get an idea of the inner workings of that brokerage, I suggest watching the movie "Glengarry Glen Ross". Texakoma is set up to make money only for their owners. Their AFEs are marked up way beyond actual costs, so Texakoma is making large money off of "investors" before any well is spudded. On the slim chance that they actually make a well, they whack investors with substantial operating expenses; again at highly marked up prices. I would be VERY surprised if, in their long history, they have actually had any well pay out to even the break even point for any investor. Oil & gas investments are risky enough in their own right; tread lightly around any one who calls you out of the blue, and while you're on the phone with them, keep that image of the Glengarry boiler-room in the back of your mind

- Series 22/63 replies to Bill SBill,
Why don't you tell people about the excessive mark up of drilling cost? Land acquisitions? Offering fees? Legal fees?
Perhaps you should talk about all those "discovery" wells the Kennedy clan drilled over the years that investors got no benefit of? Or maybe we should talk about the P&A wells that were later reopened and commercially produced for the company benefit?
Oh yeah, let's not forget Bill owns stock in all the texakoma oil and gas subsidiaries. Which is a conflict of interest for a financial member of a broker dealer right?
Maybe Shea Kennedy could get out of the racket ball court long enough to actually do something other then talk about how great he was as a wrestler?
But your probably still getting those great prices on those hand down cars from Deano,
So don't bite the hand that feeds you right?
