Just block the area code.

Good point!! I blocked 973 and many other with frequent scam calls exchanges - 240, 603, 607, 610, 770, 209, 360, 716, 707, 303, 202 ( WASHINGTON DC !!!!).  Feel free to copy!!!

Good for you. A lot less calls. I would add 646, 855 and 844. Really just look at the area codes listed on this website for a given day and let that be your guide.

Offering solar panel deal, hung up.  I hate they are now using NJ numbers so you don't know if you should answer or not.  I'm on to the ones who call using what they think is my home phone exchange but it's my cell phone exchange so if I see a call come in from that exchange & it's not my husband or one of my kids I just hang up.  Thank you everyone for the kindness of passing on information.

Called landline. CID displayed Boonton NJ. We know no one in Boonton and do business with no one in Boonton. We NEVER answer ANY unsolicited call. You don't know anymore if the number is " spoofed" or not. A legitimate caller has to leave their name, company name and valid call back number, and WE will decide if we choose to call back after proper research. These callers prey on people who are gullible, vulnerable, senior, undereducated, etc. and profit from personal information or money scams. BEWARE!!  If you don't recognize a number it should be blocked or ignore Do!

These people, like others, call several times a day, even after being put on DNC list, trying to sell solar panels because I supposedly appear to be the perfect candidate. Again, HARRASSMENT!!!!

Will this just block harassing telemarketers/scammers or every number with that area code? I live in NJ and my area code is 973...

Called on my landline, from Boonton. Missed call, no msg left. Don't pick up strange calls anyways, hell with them. Not a PSEG customer, as some stated above.
