- Caller: INTEL
- KimThey called once, while I wasnt home. They did not leave a message. I tried calling the number back, and got the "Your call cannot be completed as dialed" message.
- CB in Covington replies to tech| 1 replyI got a call from them too.
It's DIALOGIC CORPORATION which was bought by Intel Corporation around 2000. Probably a mis-dial on a fax machine. Nothing bad as far as I can tell. It looks like all calls from there are set to show the 973-993-3000 as the origination point. NJ is correct. - Simmans replies to CB in CovingtonWell I don't think it's a bad call. I reveived that call while I'm not at home and it's this number is showed on my phone. How a bad call from NJ can go in Quebec, a french province in Canada. It must be a call machine that take data from dialed person (maybe to see if he exist) and finally call for selling insurance or something like this.
- GregJust got the call ... rang once and stopped.
Didn't bother calling them back based on the notes here. Also found references to the number being owned by Dialogic and then read earlier notes on this 800notes.com site that they are not the guilty party, i.e., their number is being spoofed (faked) so there's no way of knowing who the perpetrator really is unless you get your phone company to run a trace (which requires the involvement of your local police detachment).
What a pain in the @rse these phone spammers can be ... just like their internet cousins! Grrr ...! - GregOh ... I forgot to mention that I'm in Montreal, Canada.
- AllanI think Jamie has responded very well to the question of who's not sending the calls (i.e. Intel or Dialogic)! I have received a call from this number as well and we live in Calgary (home of the Flames). We don't answer calls from area codes we have neither friends or relatives in. If they deem their calls important they'll leave a message, if not, then it's not important to them or us.
