caller ID just says "service"
didn't answer

Called my home and I waited to speak with someone and when I told her we were on DO NOT CALL and not to call again (I said it in a nice way), the girl hung up on me.  I will be reporting them.

Stop these "spam" callers.  I am on the "do not call" list and am tired to these people getting my number and calling me.  What can I do to stop this phone harrassment?

My cell has been getting multiple mortgage or bogus mortgage soliciations.

My experience: I called the number back once and was automatically disconnected.  I immediately called back and could hear what sounded like an IP network switch and then a recording with the following number; 866-616-5080.  When I called the 866 number, I received this message:  "Thank you for calling.  We are sorry if we reached your number in error.  We only purchase and buy phone numbers for business phone listings.  If you would like your phone number removed from our calling list, please press one."

I just got one of these stupid calls on my cell phone, which means someone sold my number. I'm totally PISSED about it- I got the doggone cell phone in the first place so I wouldn't get these calls on my home phone- and all of my numbers are ona A DO NOT CALL list- cells and home.

I get calls occsaionally from these people. If I don't knoe or recognize the number, I simply don't answer it. I am on the do not call978-236-7570 list, and complained about another caller, and the calls stopped after I notified the FCC.

well, it just happened AGAIN on my cell phone- and they just never give UP! I reported them- I don't need a mortgage- my home is debt-free! Thing is-when I hit redial- a recording came on that gave a totally different number. and here it IS for all of you who want it...866-616-5080 and then says "Because of a LARGE number of recent calls from YOUR phone (HUH?) your telephone number has been BLOCKED." They called ME- not the other way around, and the caller ID came up with the 978-570-2233 number- somewhere between Boston and Manchester Massachusetts.  These people are up to no good- report them!

I did not answer.  They did not leave a message.  I called the number back and also rec. the recording with the 866# with the number blocked message.  There must be some type of class action lawsuit that can be filed.  Any answers?

I got a call last night from this number and again this morning.  No messages either time.

Came home and there was a message on my answering machine inquiring if I need help with foreclosure of my home, and if my bills are just too much for me to handle - I hit the delete button. I, too, am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, but it doesn't seem to matter to these voltures who pray on people's misfortunes and hope to hit pay-dirt by actually contacting one of them.

I missed a call from this number and tried to return the phone call.  All I received was an automated message stating that "due to a high amount of calls from my phone I could not make this call at this time"  I then hung up and dialed a number that I knew and the call went through.  Tried the number again and received the same message.

They just called my cell phone again- a month after I reported them- and was told nothing could be done. I too, am on the do not call list- and when I DID get them to answer last time- I TOLD them I didn't need thier services- my home is PAID for- and to leave me alone- I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  I'm ready to track these idiots down myself and get them shut down for good- they're somewhere in Massachusetts! The FCC won't do anything, even though I told them I didn't solicit the business OR give them my cell phone number!

I got the same thing today at about 7:45PM here in Houston. I called back and the first time I was disconnected. The 2nd time I got the same response that you did about my call being blocked! They called me! I do not answer calls from numbers that I do not regonize.

They call daily to the my house at least about 5 to 8 times a day.  When I've actually said "Hello" they hang up on me!!!!

I got a call from this number with a recording offering financial services.  I didn't need any, but they took the time to call me, so why not hear them out.

Turns out I had the option to press 1 for an operator.  Seemed like a waste to turn down an option like that, so I spent a few minutes getting the nice person who answered the phone acquainted with my world view.  They informed if I wanted off their list I could register at donotcall.gov.  Not to take that curveball lightly I informed them I already had.  Then they hung up.

I'm waiting for them to call again.  I've got a religion I'm trying to get off the ground and perhaps they'd like to convert.  Time will tell.

I got two calls in two days from these people. Once at home and once at work. I decided to find out who these people were without calling them. My search lead me here and thanks to the post here I know not to answer if they call again. I also found other info on the number.

I just recently moved to a new home and had Comcast cable connected.  I was told my bill would be around $58.00.  My son called me at work and told me Comcast called from 978-570-2233 to say that they wanted to inform me that $200.00 of a x-rated movie 60 times in one minute os the same movie had been charged to my Comcast account.  When I got home I called the 978-570-2233 number.  The phone rang once and a recording came on saying 866-616-5080 a large number of calls from my phone has been temporially blocked from this number.  I thought it was strange so I called the 866-616-5080 number and it too was a recording that says error if you want number removed from calling list press 1.  I called Comcast the next day and they said they did not know those two numbers and that they would not be calling me to tell me that I had charges of movies to my Comcast bill for they don't care.  Comcast informed me that no charges of that amount had been charged to me and if it does show it would be removed.  I forgot about it and two days later I called Comcast to find out when my next bill would be and how much and they told be the date and amount was two humdred and eighty some dollars.  When I asked why so much they said x-rated movies had been ordered on my box from my house.  I explained my phone conversation to them two days prior and what happened and she informed me that they came from my home.  I work and leave home at 5:00am and get home at 7:30pm and my son goes to school at 7:30am and gets home at 3:30pm.  When I asked the dates and times I informed her that no one was home during those hours or we were in bed.  I told her I would not pay for this and she said she would have her supervisor call me.  I'm still waiting his return call. My daughter lives in a different town and had the exact samething happen to her and was charged by Comcast $500.00 in x-rated movies that were not ordered.  This is very strange to me.
