They keep calling me when I made it very clear to them last week to never call me again. Y'all Indian idiots with American names (which are made up) better quit calling me.

Just wanted to a comment posted under the name "scam" and say that I too have recently applied for jobs on  Indeed and have been receiving these annoying calls.  I will never use Indeed again.

Have received a call a day for the past 10 days from this number. Each time I tell them I'm not interested, not eligible, and remove me from the database. Can barely understand what they are saying, other than the word "Medical"
Surely something can be done to stop these people.

For last 2 weeks I am getting a call from 979-484-7218. I got at least 50-60 times. He has an Indian/Pakistani accent. I can understand this as I am myself is Indian. I told him several times that I do not know him and I do not know what medical compensation he is talking about. But he still keep me calling. I started ignoring his calls. Today when he called, my husband was at home. My husband asked about him and told this is wrong number and hung up. He called again and told that he want to talk to some Yazmin (I am not sure whether this is the right name). My husband told him that no Yazmin lives here and please do not call again. He insisted that Yazmin is there and He wants to talk to him/her. The my husband started yelling on him. He told my husband do not yell otherwise you will get a heart attack.

I do not know what to do? We are just ignoring his call but there is limit to that also.

My Mom has never used Indeed or Craigslist or anything even remotely like that and she has been inundated this past week with calls from this number.  Since she has Caller ID she knows better than to pick up the phone.

This is a link to a news article about these scammers from India who are up to no good.  They are fishing for people's personal information by preying on their stupidity and/or greed.  They claim that they can get you money if you sign up for their class-action lawsuit against the makers of a birth control pill called Yaz or Yasmin.  Their English is so horrendous that you thought they were asking for a person by that name.

When they call back, do not answer.  Add them to your phone's address book under SCAM or block the number if your phone has that capability.  You must also report all these harassing calls to www.donotcall.gov.

Do not answer the phone.  Period.

Have been called numerous times.  I can't even understand the thick accent.  They want to know if I had a bladder mass or a vaginal mass. Seriously?  Wanting to give me money compensation. Yeah, right.

I just got off the phone with who sounds to be the same man. He told me he was from the Medical Department  and they gave him my information that I was on Birth Control in the past. I asked what medical department and  what Dr. gave him my information. He said that he works for the government and then he asked what my symptoms were after using my birth control. I explained to him that I wanted his information and the Dr.'s information because they are violating HIPPA law. He kept interrupting my by saying my name repeatedly and saying that he was trying to help me get compensated for the symptoms I suffered because of my birth control. I again told him that I would find out who he is and got compensated for them violating my rights in respect to the HIPPA law in which time he hung up the phone on me.  What ever the reason for his call, it is illegal and violates state laws.

No sales calls please

These foreigners are phishing for people's personal information.  They may have your name (if it was ever in the phone book, for example) and they may act like they know your medical history.  They don't.  They are trying to hook the gullible and/or the greedy to get them to join their shady class-action lawsuits against big drug and medical device companies.  You've seen these commercials on TV, I'm sure, but I don't think these guys are affiliated with those 'legal firms' (at least I hope not).

Tell them nothing.  Do not even confirm that they have the right person.  Just hang up.  Add them to your phone's address book under SCAM.  Block the number if your phone has that capability.  Last, but not least, report each and every call to www.donotcall.gov.

This forum is to describe what these calls are about and to offer advice.  The scammers that are harassing us do not read these posts.  In light of this, what do you think of your post now?

Four days ago I got the first phone call from this number, but no one said anything when I answered.  I called back and got a busy tone.  I got three more phone calls (all very late at night) and finally said, "stop f*ing calling me," and hung up.  Ten minutes ago, they called back, and the same foreign man it seems other people are talking about stated my full name (it sounded as though he was in a bar of some sort) and that he worked for a medical company and that I was owed compensation for my birth control pills.  When I said I had never been on birth control and that I would have the police track his number, he started telling me he liked me, then that he loved me, then that he wanted to f* me and continued to say that until I said I would have him reported and then deported back to the [***] hole he came from.  He then said that he was going to find me and f* me.  I am royally creeped out, and very serious about having this investigated.

If you happen to be engaged in another call by these people tell them this:

"I have been in contact with the "U.S Department of Health & Human Services" and due to Federal Regulation you are violating national laws under the  "Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)" and I am contacting them to make a formal complaint against this company." That might do it. They used to call me all the time but havent since I mentioned this.

I keep getting phone calls from 979-484-7218.  They first said that it was due to me filling out a survey online and saying I had won a Walmart gift card.  Now, they are saying they are a medical compensation company working on behalf of the federal government.  It's always a man with thick eastern accent.  It's total harassment and a huge scam.  They say they are calling from California which is obviously not true as the 979 area code is from Texas...and I have never had any medical compensation claim or injury of any kind.

Ok..so i am also getting calls from this number. I believe he has some mental problem...the reason is most of the time no one speaks form that number and when he speaks I cannot understand.
Best thing is to ignore that.

this is a cellphone out of Columbus, TX.  Grande Communication Network is the carrier.  Report to FCC do not call list.  Once they get overloaded they'll eventually do something about it.  I always tell them if I pick up from a line with out caller ID and tell them the police are looking for them right now as we speak and they will need to register as sex offender if they don't stop calling.  Oh and tell them to google their phone number and see what people say about them on the internet.

This caller has called my cell at least 21 x's week and I do not answer it and they do not leave a message.

I also have been receiving these calls from "Alex Brown" and the US Medical Department.  I asked how he got my cell phone number and he evaded the question.  He began asking about my medical history and I asked him again who he worked for and he just kept asking questions.  I eventually hung up, frustrated and extremely upset.  He was rude and
If he worked for the US Medical Department, I suggest someone give him english & speech lessons so he can understood properly.  Regardless, someone needs to do something about this calling.  BBB, FBI, someone.
