Voicemail message from Total Quality Logistics.  Telemarketing.

Call received.  Nothing spoken.

Called this morning on my office phone, trying to sell ocean freight. We just booked a container yesterday from a different forwarder. It's scary how easy and fast Total Quality Logistics could find these information. I contacted our legal department, and told them to take necessary action(s) agaist this company.

They are a freight broker company and have to call their truckers. Supposedly my number used to belong to one of their drivers. Customer service is more than happy to remove your name from their list. Quite friendly.

I keep telling them we do not use trucks and they keep calling!! Annoyed!!!

Tell them you're a NAFTA driver and you'll haul for cheap, as in below a dollar a mile. You'll have a job for life.

I got a call this morning from this number :  513-831-2600 They wanted to buy "reefer" in Edinburg ND.  Then they asked me about any drugs that I might have.

This TQL Dispatch, they are trying to reach a truck driver.  They save drivers phone numbers in their database, so if they think the same person is on the load even though they weren't given the number they will call for status updates.  They do not care if they are sleeping or driving in heavy traffic / bad weather, they just have to get the update for their system.  They are a broker and contract with other trucking companies and don't have trucks of their own, so they have no idea what it is like to be the trucker getting called, let alone some poor sap that has that same number.

The call above that mentions Reefer is not marijuana but a Refrigerated Trailer also called a reefer.

They keep texting Google Phone saying "You got a new voicemail from 513 831-2600".

Salesman from Total Quality Logistics called asking for a former employee, then wanted to know when they left. I told them it's none of their business. Kept asking to get the name or talk to the person in charge of logistics. Got really pushy, went on the attack. I hung up on him. (The employees here don't want to waste their time listening to sales pitches.)

He called back 5 times. Same rude pushy behavior. Said he would call tomorrow and keep calling until I gave him a name. Making threats. Reeeeeeeal professional.

Not all of them are like that, in my opinion.  Sales jobs are sales jobs, and if you tell them that you don't do full truckload they usually leave you alone.  But then, who knows?  They might be the right fit for your company if you listen to them once.  I'm sure your salespeople do the same, and if they don't maybe your salespeople and their salespeople can have a little chat?

TQL..They are just trying to hep truckers get loads and working just like the rest of us...You don't have to take the loads...

"reefer" refers to refrigerated merchandise that is to be hauled

Thought that "reefer" meant "weed"????

Any time you post freight to be "forwarded", hauled or transported in any manner, that information is posted Nationally for ANY "Freight Broker" to see and have access to.
I hope your "Legal Department" is smarter than you are.
