This is a credit card company I think

The call is from Sam's Club Discover

866-743-8547 is the call back number left for me in a message from Sam's Club Discover.  Call originated from 330-433-5813.  Most likely a collection call.

i did have a sam's discover card, so, this probably was them calling

This tactic using automated bill collection calling up people and not annoucing who they are is the most bad things.  Like someone misses a few days they start this form of harassment no one should use GE Bank for anything they broke and what has made america week.  Discover has no regard for privacy whatsoever.

I don't think this is actually Sam's Discover calling.  I called the actual phone number located on my card and they said they had not been trying to contact me.  This has happened a few times now.  I have gotten 5 phone calls in the last 14 hours from this number!

yep its from sams club discover telling me i got a payment due coming up in a couple weeks and i already have scheduled payments! totally unecessary phone call

yep it was ge bank they called me about 5 times driving me nuts until i answered and a [***] recording said press 1 for important information and then they say i have a minimum payment due in 2 weeks... i know that you idiots! i am not giving out my number anymore

Hey, just to let you all know, you should register your numbers to the National Do Not Call Registry which is (1-888-382-1222) and this will prevent all these "toll free calls" from disrupting you.  This is a Federal Program which prevents all these advertising companies from getting personal information such as your address, name and phone.  You can also register your phone by internet by visiting donotcall.gov  Good luck to you all!!!

DNCR only works IF they get caught.  Pffffft! Good luck with that.

Got this call at 9:55 on 12/11/2010.  An automated call that said  "An important message for MY NAME.  Press any number to continue."    Nothing ever comes when I press a number.  Wondering if someone is using it to get access to my long distance lines?  I have heard of scams like this.....

This call has been coming periodically for the last 2 weeks.

This is a calling machine. I received calls from this number regarding debt collection.

I called and verified who they where:

It is GE Money Bank..  Doing collections on their regular Sam's Club credit account BUT they where using their GE Money Bank "Discover Card" phone line..  The operator told me there was a mistake in the system...  Hummm what do you guys think???  

Also, I was excited to hear that he had records on another account of mine with Paypal

I closed my Paypal account because these people are heartless worms...  I'm going to pay off and close my Sam's and tell them what I think since Sam's may pay attention to a customer.

Thanks for the info...i have been getting calls 3-5 a day starting as early as 7-8 am and when they don't get me on my home phone my cell will ring 1-2 minutes later! i picked them up once in frustration to have them remove me from thier call list and I got a "hold on message"...seriously! they need to reach me so badly yet they put me on hold as soon as I pick up...I do have a Sams Discover but it is current  as are my other cards so i can't figure what they want other than to harass me!  Headed to the do not call site now...thanks for the reminder of that opportunity!

This number calls me several times each day, including weekends.  I have caller ID and do not answer unidentified calls.  They never leave a message but just keep calling.

I receive call from this number at any time. Even while we are sleeping on saturday and Sunday. They always ask for somebody else that doesnt live here. How can stop them to call my number??
