    • Looks familiar only the number on their website looks to be out of Edmonton. Sneeky buggers! Must have a router in order make it harder to find out where they're really calling from or they have an office in Calgary and just don't advertise it.

    • I have been getting calls from some home improvement company -or something- for a few weeks now. I told them last time that I would call the FCC if they called again and I hung up. they JUST called again but the phone ID showed up as "2025" as opposed to having a full number. I told the guy to take...

    • Have you ever bought anything good from a telemarketer?
    • Posts: 4 | Last post: by anyone wants to know
    • Never bought anything never was interest in anything they were selling. I can buy the same thing at a shopping mall, I like to see what I am buying. There are too many scams to trust them.

    • Probably 99% of the time, I pick up the phone and give it the silent treatment. If the person on the other end doesn't say "Hello" within 2 seconds of me picking up the phone, I know they're using an autodialer and the program is waiting for the sound of a human voice before connecting to a live...

    • BLOCKING??
    • The problem is with AT&T you are only allowed to block a maximum of 20 numbers. Also, if you block a number that you know is a telemarketer, they usually have several lines that they call from, and you need to block each of their numbers, which adds up quickly to 20! It does help some, though.

    • Are real estate agents exempt from the DNC list?
    • Posts: 4 | Last post: by stevenw
    • Depending on your state, they may or may not be exempt. The federal DNC only covers interstate communications. A call to you from inside your state may be regulated by a state DNC that may allow realtors to call. Realtors have a lot of clout politically and in some states have been able to exempt...
