    • A website Silverlinecall.com exists and is a telemarketing Co. The whois record shows it's a Godaddy site. Registration info says Canada, but the name, address etc, info is totally bogus.

    • Get a call blocker that can block whole area codes. You can get apps for that for a cell phone and a standalone blocker (like Digitine.com call blocker) for landlines. Then program to block PACTEL area codes. (Hopefully. you don't live in the Northwest.)

    • 10.00 bucks a month is kind of pricy. A standalone call blocking device will cost you around $100.00, once and works just as well.

    • Well said. Infringing upon the rights of the citizens of a country is as criminal as trying to defraud them. • Let us hope for the day when such news about the shutting-down of "Rachel and her ilk" makes front page news, and that complaints about "I keep telling Rachel to stop calling me, but she won't stop" will become a thing of the past. That's a massive hope, but without hope, we give up entirely.

    • I'd suggest you check the ABC 6 user agreement. It's probably on their web site if they have one. You might find that by signing up for their weather news you also signed up for a s@#$ load of telemarketing from their "affiliates" as well. This stuff is pretty common.

    • I've done the 555-5555 or 555-1212 or 000-0000, sometimes the form is set up to reject it. I use a GV number if they insist, but I have had that rejected, too. I also feel sorry for 765-4321 if it exists in my area code. Then there is always 867-5309, but they are already getting hundreds of calls,...

    • Identity theft sucks but its time to change certain things. Every transactions we do should be done with a finger print. With a computer, any coward can pretend to be anybody else but a finger print id wouldn't allow him/her to spoof somebody's name or number. It's just astounding that a few cowards...
