    • "he certainly didn't WANT to believe me." That pretty much encapsulates the heart of the problem with people falling for these scams. Any good con artist knows the first rule is telling a potential victim what he wants to hear.

    • If it was call forwarding the number called would be: (323) 921-3800 (or at least that's how it works here. After the *72 you put the number you want your phone forwarded too.

    • There's a similar one making the rounds that tries to say it's from a hotel and that they've charged your credit card for thousands of dollars-- and to open an attachment to get your money back. Of course the attachment is a virus. My AVG stripped one of a trojan just this morning.

    • I been receiving a call from a person by the name Robert Jackson claiming to be a police officer. This person threaten me and told me that I would be arrested for not paying a loan. A loan that I have never received. The number is 661-230-3036. I reported them to the FTC and they stopped calling....
