    Never press the button to "opt out." If you do, they know it is an active number and sell it on the open market. Your spam calls will almost certainly increase.

    1, Your reply is well over 3 years too late.
    2,  Scammers don't care if a number is active & they don't pay for numbers either since all they need to do is program a computer to dial all numbers in a given sequence. If a number isn't active, the computer simply moves on to the next.

    Direct Protection Warranty Services, www[..xx]thedpws[dott]com has tried to sell me a 4-year warranty that costs more than my car is likely worth. The calls are very long in order to ID which entity is actually behind the calls.
