- Ethel replies to SvxcessTHey will not show up! I got the same threat last year, in May 2010. I did have a loan but repaid it with interest etc...I was certain they were wrong so I told them to go ahead and show up, and serve me. I also called the local courthouse and they said I was not on the docket.......These bullies never showed up.........then about 6 months later, they called with the same story and I said, to them, do what you gonna do and the idiot said in 10 days, no one showed.........Now April 2011, said they called with same ole bull and lies............NO ONE WILL SHOW UP....These guys are thieves and liars. Do not be afraid, they cannot do anything to you but call you and make up lies.
- pinyattathese jerks keep calling me for a guy by these same name as my brother. I tell them #1 is that my brother died a year ago & #2 that it isn't his debt anyway. I had a cop try to scare them off but they keep calling
- Relevant replies to kathy| 1 replyWell Kathy, use your brain, if you never had a loan, then he can't produce documents that you did....So why worry, just tell the man you know he is a fake and hang up...They tried this same tactic with me and I knew I never had a loan so I told him to go f+++ himself.........He stopped calling for about 6 months and had changed his name and number but same voice. He said I would be arrested and the sherriff was coming to my job, and I told him to send the sheriff so I could prove my innocence and have him arrested for his con....He screamed some profanities and hung up...Don't let these chumps scam you, if ignorant people would stop sending them money, we wouldn't have this problem........Even if you think you owe, ask these scammers for proof, and they want have it.........Always contact the original creditor that you owe and pay them, not these liars and thieves....Be smart......You should be able to smell the scam when they call you with these thick accents and use American names, that was my first red flag, Indian accent and name John Connar.

- LynnI live in Idaho and I recieved a call from my local sheirff's department today and talked to a Detective Smith. He told me he was making me aware that a warrant will be issued for fraud. He told me I needed to call this number 404-889-8763 and didn't give me the name of the creditor. When I called the number there was no answer so I called back the sheirff's department and asked for Detective Smith and they said there was no one by this name. They even looked up my name and didn't see anything against me. I know this is for a payday loan that I want to pay back, but can only make small payments. Can they legally issue a warrant for my arrest for a $150 pay day loan? Please help I am so stressed over this.
- KayYes, they will stop or at least they will get less. They had been harrassing me to the point that I wanted to find them and choke them down.....They called my cell one day 2 weeks ago and I hit ignore, I was at work, they then proceeded to call my job. I answered the phone and when they asked to speak to me, I told them no they could not and hung up.....well guess what, they redialed a few seconds later, once again I answered, but in a really gruff voice, I did not give them and chance to say anything, I said.."Listen up, you are calling a local sheriff's dept. we have checked you out and know that you are a fraud, this has been confirmed with the FBI and other federal agencies, now my advice to you is to lose this number and any other number associated with the lady..." once again I hung up. Well, they have not called and will not take any calls from my number, so until they resurface, which I am sure they will, I am having no calls.
- JulieI received the call today and fell for it, but figured out real quick it was a scam, now my bank is investigating the fraud, and I went to the police and filed a report. the number called from today was 530-366-5705, I also have notified the lawyer whose name they used , and the law firm they pretended to be from that their names were being used in a fraud scam, and gave them all the info I had.

- ElizabethMore numbers: 818-561-6634, 1-700-377-0037, 347-640-5544, 786-358-6864. Called my cell and work# several times yesterday. I actually called back on it this time (I know, I know, I shouldn't have) because I was in a bad mood. He started in on the spiel. I told him that I was savvy to the scam, that the FBI has a warning about this scam, that I have reported it (I actually have on their IC3 site) and that he needs to never call me again.
Of course an hour later I get another call, same number (the 818 one), this time they give me the the "you're in big trouble" script with "someone is coming to your home and someone is coming to your work..." BS. I called back (I was in a *really* bad mood) and just started in with "Are you threatening me?! Because I have it on my voicemail that you're threatening me!" and told them that *that* conversation was being recorded, and he said that I didn't need to call anymore. I told him that wasn't the issue, that *they* never were to call *me* anymore.
All quiet today, but I don't expect it to last... - Belinda123 replies to BrendaThe latest number for me is (409) 356-7271. They call for everywhere and taunt me that the police and or the FTC are full of [***]. They keep on calling this time they answered this number usually the number is scrambled or its not working . One time it belonged to some lady in the U.S. and I informed her this schemers where using her phone number. I'm almost sure these guys are not even in the U.S. Some do apologize and stop calling , but this particular one has become threatening and I recognize his voice. They all have an accent but this one I recognize. I'm a single mom and become afraid for myself and my child. I need help do not know who can actually help.
- Reese replies to EsoxI agree Esox, you would think Homeland Security could shut them down...When I contacted the FBI, they said they were investigating and eventually they would find the loosers and shut them down but in the meantime, I agree with a previous post I read, People need to be smarter and stop sending these thieves money. I am amazed at how so many US citizens think these threats of arrest etc. are legit. There is no debtors prison in Texas. Who ever heard of someone going to jail for oweing a payday loan. Most of the post, don't even have loans, so why are these guys still in business, because obviously some ill informed folks are sending them money. Stop the madness, hang up on them and stop letting them use those scare tactics to convince you to pay. When they first called me, I realized 2 minutes into the conversation that this guy was full of bull. First off, he said I would be arrested and then he said I could settle for $400.00 and he wouldn't tell me who I owed or what for plus I knew there was no deposit made to my account.........Smelled the scam a mile off.
