- Resident47 replies to KevinThe phone number is "real" in the sense that it's a VOIP number in Cleveland and compliant with the North American Numbering Plan. The phone number cannot be "a scam". Numbers are abstract concepts.
Now, if your concern was that a person using this phone number is part of some fraud, you should turn to a handy 800Notes number thread. The correct thread is empty currently. I would suggest helping this site to achieve its mission. Report there on what you know based on calls to your phone(s). Running out here with vague and absurd demands does not help you or others with a similar problem.

You see, despite what "Chris/CJ" thought, area code groupings tell us nothing about the true source or purpose of any mystery caller, not in the ripe age of Caller ID spoofing and disposable VOIP accounts. There are smart ways and stupid ways to use 800Notes. Copycat remarks of "add this to the list" create confusion, not order. There is no official "list" which can remain static or upon which to take action. This site makes its own index of phone numbers both used and abused, simply by people reporting in proper threads. So take advantage of that design, and try not to wring out far more than what you put in. - Resident47 replies to Annoyed 3.0This is not a text message portal, first point, and therefore not a direct channel for complaints to any company. Second, no one needs to add -- with two d's -- any phone number to anything here. A long running thread, all eighteen pages of it, is waiting for you to discuss your calls and get a hint of the caller's purpose. (pre-hint: It's not for periodical sales.)

- Resident47 replies to AnnoyedThis, friends, is why all the "area code" threads from Chris/CJ need locking. By early December the correct thread had already swelled in 4.5 months to an eighth page. A paper note in a floating bottle has about the same chance of response as someone running here fresh from a search engine to an unfocused thread.

- Resident47 replies to Michael BI'm waiting for the part where you explain how an order delivery notification from a retailer constitutes a "fraud" or "scam" as per this thread's title. I would try to corroborate in the correct number thread, but of course it's utterly empty.
