Your are mistaken, since a quick look at the thread for that number shows no reports of  "an ominous call " or any report for that matter, it is empty as of this posting.

Chris posted in 2012 and I highly doubt he/she would know anything today about it. But to help you understand, a "phone number" all by itself can not possibly be a scam, since it is only a number...one that could  be spoofed by anyone.  A quick look at the number's thread shows it is empty, which is where people would post about it if they knew anything.

Eerily, I'd made the same points on the third page around 3.6 years ago. I'm sorry I wasted time in the following months on both begging casual users to ignore a poor example of site use and also wishing Admin would pinch off its growing mess.

My phone number is a 440-209 prefix  just today got 4 Robocall/ Scam calls from 440-209 numbers.  one I simply answered and hung up.  the other 3 I let go to voice mail all the same BS message   I have a call blocking device and a robo call blocker.

The calls I received were from 4 different numbers allegedly
