My question here is do they have a area code block yet? I found that to be pretty helpful for just blocking an area that is generally massive in caller complaints. Kind of like the 202 and 212 area codes. Those where the first thing I added into the blocking device.

I accidentally discovered that my moms phone can also block numbers without the area code. This came in handy when she received a call displaying virtually the same number, but with a different area code.
I am not sure if you would be able to do that on a phone system. I guess it would depend on which phone you were interested in. Mine was fairly reasonable in price and does what I need it to do. Since I am on the DNC, I get very few calls to my land line. So it does what I want it to do. Like anything else, you have to research it before you buy it.
Tami, that would be a good feature to have on the newer phones, not only having to block whole 10 digit numbers but area codes such as all those that have been a part of the most troubling numbers that telemaggoters use (such as 253, 530 and the like in addition to the ones you mentioned).
Hopefully the technology on newer phones will catch up and something akin to a wild card feature will be a part of the newer models. I've also used that feature on the call blocker I use and it truly does help :)
Tami, I have been away for a little bit, but there was one person on here that used to do a really good job and I loved reading her posts. CelticDragon was her screen name. Used to post some really great stuff, hope she comes back.
So far 1-C, the blocking device I got has handled any combo of numbers. Even just double digits. Not bad! Its probably about that time to get a couple of calls. Even the few I've had hanging about has seemed to dwindle down.
Mine does much the same, Tami. So yep, not bad ... at all! True, sometimes a couple sort of slip through but there's always that ability to hit "block" once it does (and shows up on the call list). You have to love that affect though ... they diminish. Haven't had hardly any in a good while.
Just how many others are there on this site besides Jimmy & CelticDragon? It would be great to sit back with others and talk about blocking those pesky calls.
I had considered getting my mom a stand alone call blocker to help increase the blocking capacity. However most of telemaggoters are blocked because of the fact that they are robocalls.
Tami, agreed. I have had No mo (etc...) for several months and it has blocked tons of DNC-violating crooks. It has never blocked any call that shouldn't have been blocked. All calls still show on my phone's caller ID so I can see how well it's working. Only thing I'd like to have with it is first-ring suppression. I know some phones have that, but mine are older models.
The device I have suppresses those for the most part, but it can do one or two rings. Rarely does it though! Once in awhile, it hits the upstairs phone first. Its plugged into the main phone line also. The one thing I like about it though since its newer, it still registers the CID regardless. So If I don't see on the blocker, I can go get it and hand plumb it in.

That is very important. When the blizzard approached this area, my mother and I received calls about the expected weather conditions. I forgot the number, but people insist that it is a scam number and yet its not. https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-866-419-5000/23
