    Please Stop
spamming this forum thread with such an idiotic request! This site did not subscribe you to anything... you need to take it to the actual subscription service to cancel it!

In the meantime, each of your spam posts will disappear as they have been reported!

Yet another perfect example of why there should be a required intelligence test before certain individuals are let anywhere near the internet.

When you run across anything in a an e-mail or on the internet that says, "FREE", especially a free membership, stay clear. Do not sign up. Most of these are scams and will either take your money and you get little in return or they are looking to collect as much information about you so they can assume your identity. They are thieves. All they want is money and information. Also another thing to note...almost all these type of sites have unsecured logins and probably unsecured bill payment windows as well. Again, run and don't use them. If it is any consolation, I had to learn my lesson the hard way and I should have known better in the first place. I hope this helps someone out there.

Hey, do us a favor.  A lot of people come here thinking that the people calling them or the people they ordered stuff from and post stuff like "stop calling me", or "cancel this subscription" would like to know if that post really works.  So would you please stop back and let us know if your subscription was cancelled and by whom?

This website is not for (a) customer service, (b) a messaging service and (c) the subscription cancellation department for that business.  I have no idea who you signed up with so I have no idea what you are talking about.  Please do not spam this website with anymore silly nonsense or your post is subject to getting deleted.

I'd be pretty happy with locking another customer disservice thread. Locking disfavors the trolls, if there are any, taking away a fertile playground.

This is like the "cancel Sensa" thread all over again. Some of you who were around in 2013 recall a thread started under "Everything Else" in early March that year by a dimwit who complained of fraudulent billing for a bogus weight loss supplement. Said dimwit was inexplicably treating 800Notes like a customer service portal, declaring a return of unwanted product, and asking no one in particular to "please take action to [sic] this matter".

The negative option billing circumstances were similar. Customer signs on to a teaser offer, misses the fine print about being enrolled in automatic delivery of more product, gets fat periodic credit card charges and more crap in the mail, and can't seem to extract herself from the deal without a lawyer and a stick of dynamite. The FTC frowns upon negative option schemes overall, but has no obvious power to outlaw the practice.

Well, the Sensa thread grew to five pages of women all demanding refunds and/or delivery cancellations, and repeated pleading with them to see reason and deal with Sensa directly. Of course, a customer base which can be convinced that sprinkling magic powder on their dinner plates will shed pounds from their flab rolls has scant power to reason at all.

By 22 August some of us had spent all patience, and I asked Admin for a thread lock. By the end of that night, Admin went one better and destroyed the thread. So far that strategy has worked; no copycat threads since then. Troll interference was never openly identified, and to this day I think the ninny behavior was genuine. As I'd said then, this was due in large part to that thread's title, which included the word "cancel" and would naturally attract people (of short attention span) who wanted to do just that.

That same herd behavior plausibly explains the issue with this "Mobile Access" Whatever thread, though again giggling trolls are ever free to interfere. I vote for another lock or disposal as warranted.
