I received an email in my "Inbox" that says "Background Check Alert", check who the person is doing your background check....
Did anybody received this kind of message also? I have not open it because I am paranoid of scammers.

There are numerous reports of this sort of spam. It's associated with phishing scams and virus uploads. You were wise not to open the email.

There are spammers out there who hit e-mails as well as phones. Some of the signs to watch for:
- No subject line - SPAM key changed to read NOT SPAM - The name of someone you know somewhere in the single-line text - The phrase "from a friend" - Products can be anything from Viagra to hair gel.
A dear friend of mine from college had her contacts list under Yahoo! hijacked, and soon everyone on the list was receiving e-mails from all kinds of crazy-named sources.
Do not open the message. Delete the entire message immediately. However, before making the delete, do keep a record of the source information. You should be able to check names, maybe even come up with phone numbers. If you get phone numbers, post a report here to 800notes.com.

My wife has gotten these during her job search. It comes over that for her to be a canidate she needs to give info such as phone #, address and guess what her SSN#... It states simply that due to the nature of the the business they need this to prequalify, I would search the name and or phone listed (if I recall no company name listed). and behold nothing could be found. We immediately spam it.
It is amazing how dirtbags try to scam people looking for a job. My wife no when it is a blind add email for more information about the company.
Just be careful out there

I got this one this morning.
I run the cursor over the sender field and then the subject field and do not open these emails.
I notice that the name that shows up under the "sender" name that is visible without the cursor running over it is completely different and sometimes the subject line is as well.
I notice that when I run the cursor over the names of my friend's actual emails and even my official real business emails - the names and subject lines match. Never fails for me. It is valuable when you are conducting internet business such as job searches etc.
There is a small problem with this type of email - if you really did sikgn up for email alerts - you must be absolutely sure of what your email senders name and emails will look like.
I had to do a bunch of work on a pc once because of this kind of simple mistake.
Yes, these phishing emails are making their way around to everybodies inbox again.
I have also noticed (by getting the header and source info) that the IP addresses can be traced to various places in eastern europe!
Apparently they aren't content with spamming everyone's inboxes with their canadian pharmacy and so called dating email scams so they are again spamming us with this asinine background check phishing scam!
Someone needs to delete these turkeys from existence!!
I have received two! I have also not opened them. Scared of my computer crashing!

Deleted this sender, I have continually been called on my cell phone 2-3 times a day with an unusual phone number. My cell carrier cannot "Block" it because it has too many numbers but the 14 digit phone numbers (always different ones) begin with 777......... any suggestion for this???
Change all of your passwords. If you do on-line banking check your accounts and change those passwords, too. Watch your bank balances. If a charge appears and you didn't make it call your bank.

Where you guys live ? Funny thing is I recieved the same email. Thing is a went to a secure place today so it was no surpise . This is like a auto responder for a check. Someone really did a check. Don't go crazy but post some things you did today... This email only goes out when they have a real lead. It was sent at 4:53 pm what time was yours sent . Right after I left a highly over secure place. Thing is I had sun glasses and a hoodie on so they probably thought they had a felon. Check because the beast just got exposed. Companies use this unlimited background check for like under a hundred a month .
