CALL YOUR BANK NOW!!!!    Those crooks will clean you out if you don't notify the bank and get them to put a hold on any electronic  withdrawal.   Explain exactly what happened to your bank so they can take steps and fast!

Thank goodness I found this because I keep getting calls with offers and they are ALL from somewhere in India using fake names like Jack, Albert and Mike etc and trying to sound American. How I knew something was wrong is, when I would answer the phone, it would ring on my line and I'm saying to myself, I just answered, why is their line ringing. Next, they said to me, are you still interested in a personal loan for up to $5000? I said no, that is too much money, next thing I know I hear a click! So anyway, I finally, spoke to a rep today asking how this would work and a "loan officer" said I had to go to a Western Union which really got me suspicious. So he said I would need 3 things, my ID, cell phone and then $285.00 and I would recieve the funds within 10 -15 minutes. I told him no thanks I will call back on Friday and he said what time can I expect you to call as if he was very eager for this $285.00 yet they were lending me $1200? I was not born yesterday but these scammers think it is ok to take advantage of people's hardships.

Those names are actually English as in from England. Also be reminded that India still has English influence over it despite not being ruled by the British Monarchy (anymore). I get India's a sh**hole in most parts of the nation but scamming isn't justifiable.

That is true, I am guessing that they are from India, however, they could be from somewhere else, I know they were not calling from the US and when I answered, one of the reps tried to disguise his accent and came on the phone laughing which tells me they are doing way too much wherever they are from to scam us.

Just to clarify, www.usapayday.com is in no way affiliated with the USA Payday Loan company mentioned in the comments above, and does not charge any of the fees that have been reported in those posts. They are two different companies.

Interesting! In attempting to a access that site I got this message on my browser:

    "This Connection is Untrusted

The certificate is only valid for the following names:

And according to this site http://0cashadvances.com/tag/www-usapayday-com/

It's still yet, another ONLINE payday loan 'business'!!!

    Still a high risk:

    http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/consumerawareness/a/paydayloans.htm

"According to a CFA survey of one hundred Internet payday loan sites, small loans involving electronic access to consumers' checking accounts pose high risks to consumers who borrow money by transmitting personal financial information via the Internet.

    ….

"Internet payday loans are dangerous for cash-strapped consumers," stated Ms. Fox. "They combine the high costs and collection risks of check-based payday loans with security risks of sending bank account numbers and Social Security Numbers over web links to unknown lenders.""

May not be the same USA PayDay Loan as mentioned here in this thread … it's still an online lender!!! Nice try! But sorry, still doesn't fly!!!
