Actually Country Financial insurance I'm suing for using them against me in a collection situation that not only I was not allow to settle for a few hundred dollars but it is with an agency that was given an injunction by a judge due to a case in SC in 2011.

Really 90 percent of collection agencies operate outside of all American laws.  They depend on the ignorance and stupidity of the masses to pay for something they really don't owe in most cases and the rare ones that they due the amount is not a legal amount it is in a lot of cases the collusion between the company and them to see how much "punitive damages" out of unsuspecting people.

My advice is for all policyholders of Country Financial to end their coverage immediate and go with an independent or State Farm (don't know about them enough to give an endorsement) but they have to be better than those lowlifes.  And if anybody gets calls from Wilbur and Associates just ignore them and get an attorney like I have.  They are ILLEGAL and like most things from Chicago or "near" it they operate outside of laws.  That's why you need to go before a judge in a court that will hear the case like circuit or district court.

They are a law firm that is not even suppose to take collection cases because a gentleman in South Carolina sued because he actually paid them in full and they toll him (a lie of course) that they were in a partnership with the State drivers licensing agency of his state and of course they weren't.  But he paid them after having his license taken away believing that the payment would cover for what the state levied against him in an accident case and it still got taken away.  He paid Wilbur over $3,000 and then they tried to extort another $6,000 so he got a lawyer.

But remember a collection agency by law has to send in writing "within 30 days" the debt you owe and it has to be notarized by an official notary in their state.  Wilbur has never done that to my knowledge.  So they were operating outside of basic law the whole time and still are but we are country owned by Satan and foreign offshore banking cartels.  Even if you have a legitimate debt and they start calling - call your lawyer.   One website that helped me a long time ago www.toolsforfreedom.com has a booklet you can order for about $15.00 on how to get debt collectors off your back.

By law they have to sign off on the debt on several pages stating what contract two-party or three-party contract if they refuse to send the documentation back to you then they are essentially saying it either isn't a viable contract violation (ensuing the debt) or we don't care we what the hell we want.  Wilbur is one of those jokers -take them be-otches to court if they keep pursuing.  My lawyer said that I might get punitive damages (not likely) against Country Financial.  They are in the same city as Wilbur and Assoc. and they know they are illegal and use them.  That's against the law.  Collusion to subvert contract law by deception is a violation and can be ruled against.  Got to know your rights.

Wait, is that what your fifteen dollar booklet told you? Yipes .... One glance at the sales website you're promoting and I see the only item missing is Custom Made Tin Foil Hats for their best paranoid customers.

Per federal law, which you can read for free, debt collectors don't need to send *anything* "within 30 days". They do have to allow a month for written validation requests after their first dunning letters are received. While you could have a stronger state law on that point, I doubt it's a state in this Union. You want their letters notarized, too? Lotsa luck claiming *that* as a FDCPA violation. I won't even get into your "contract sign off" dribbling. That's deep in the woods of litigation about *your* case and may not apply to average readers.

Hell I am actually dealing with Wilbur right now and they got my license suspended for something that happened 3 years ago and I was never notified that I owed money. They said it was farmers insurance who I owed the money to originally. But when I called farmers they said they have no record of me ever owing them any money. What should I do?

Resident 10 is a shill.  A debt collector cannot get a driver's license suspended.

So, a law firm got your license suspended without any notification by the courts?  Not sure I believe you.

Let's see.  You had a car accident?  It was your fault?  But you didn't know you would have to pay the other party for that accident?  Then, no one notified you for 3 years?  Now, these debt collectors have come after you and allegedly suspended your license?  So the first thing you do is come to this web site seeking free legal advice?  We could give you legal advice (no not really we wouldn't, we couldn't, and even if we could it wouldn't be legal), but then it would be worth every penny you spent for it.

Oh, and I forgot to mention.  You are asking advice from someone who has a grade school or possibly middle school grasp of the English language?  If he can't form a coherent sentence or spell correctly do you really expect him to give you great legal advice?

What should you do? You might at least spell the business name correctly before you insult our intelligence some more: Wilber & Associates / Wilber Group

Wilber is known to hassle people for bogus and outdated "subrogation claims", often accusing the wrong people of being mixed up in property damage incidents or falsely claiming to represent an opponent's insurer. Verbally and on paper they enjoy threatening to get driver licenses revoked. Your shill story, while it needs editing, is not unexpected.

I'll thank you not to parody my user alias in your future misinformation campaigns. I have other actions in mind to answer your question, but they are too vulgar for this website.

Probably.  Contact them, ask for proof that you the debt.  They are required by law to send you that proof, by US mail.  Tell them you are not paying any more until you have proof that you owe the debt.  Then do it, keep your money until you have proof, on paper in your hand, that you owe the money.

No one believes you.  A debt collector cannot have your license revoked.  Show me the laws for your locality, and prove me wrong.

You are a shill, because you failed to list pertinent information, like the state that revoked your license, and what license got revoked. You don't have to have a license to tell the truth.

Fact 1) Debt collectors have a proven history of harassing innocent people by calling outdated numbers.
Fact 2) Debt collectors refuse to listen once they are informed that they have reached the wrong number.
Fact 3) I know these are facts because it happened to me.
